(Fightstick question) Help

So im about to start playing fighting games alot. I’m gona get my
self the Street Fighter IV round 2 TE fightstick. I see there is a TE stick
for Marvel vs Capcom 2 and Blazblue… do i have to get the specific TE stick
for the specific game… like do i need the Blazblue TE stick so i can use it for
Blazblue… or can i use the STIV TE stick for all of these games?

They are all the same stick made by Madcatz. It’s just different artwork. It’s just preferences on which artwork you like. There is also the option of putting your own artwork on the stick.

The SF sticks have the buttons in the order for the default SF layout (controller layout A in the options), but the mvc sticks have a couple of the buttons in a different order. Other than that, it’s different plastic colours and different artwork.

Alright so let me get this straight. There all the same exact stick, just
different artwork. Same button layout and everything… only thing different
is the Artwork… Also does Mortal Kombat have a different button layout?
I see that SF , MVC and Blazblu have the same button layout does MK have
the same as well?

The MK has a six button layout. If you swap the panel for the MK combat panel then you’ll be leaving out two buttons. If you do decide to do that or disconnect any buttons, I’ll advise you to mark the button layout and wire colors on the underside with a sharpie for reference.

Thanks guys! One more question … is there a layout for Soulcalibur … Virtua fighter or are those not like real fighting games… also battle fantasia …King of fighter XII …?

Actually the buttons are laid out differently. Each Edition is Mapped for the default layout for each game.

You can reconfigure each game’s button layout in the button config.

Whatever stick you do end up getting, my advice is to then proceed to get an Art Hong plexi-top with an HRAP1 layout - the far right 6 being the best standard layout, imo.

i know Mortal Kombat has a different layout … can i use the TE stick with
the rest of the games…
