hi, i’m thinking of getting either the SE or TE Fightstick to use for my PC Street Fighter 4 but i’m wondering if the PS3 or XBox version works better on the PC…
360 since Microsoft provides drivers for it. PS3 may or may not work depending on your motherboard.
As a side note, the 360 Sticks are also easier to Dual mod for both systems, since the Cthulhu works for PS3.
my local Fry’s has the SE and a GameStop near here has the TE… the SE is actually enough for me since i’m just a casual gamer but i keep reading about bad buttons… with the SE, i plan on gluing the washer as soon as i get it but is there anything i can do about sticky or non responsive buttons on the SE…?
i can get the TE but from doing a search on this forum, even those are not without their problems… specifically with non responsive buttons that is temporarily fixed with plugging and unplugging the controller… is that really a hardware issue on the PCB…?
If you’re getting an SE, I definitely recommend switching at least your six main buttons to some sanwa or semitsus. You won’t have problems with those, whereas the SE buttons break easily and get stuck often.
As for the TE, if you like the form factor better and have the money, I’d definitely go for it. You don’t have to mess with opening up the stick at all because its all sanwa already. The button issues do exist on some of the TEs, and i’m pretty sure its a PCB error, but if you mash or replug, you’ll be fine. If it happens at a tourney, people are usually pretty understanding, unless they’re a scrub who needs the win.
The TE might be what you need to turn you from a casual player to a rabbid fan of the art of fighters
I heard that the xbox360 one has problems with the trigger buttons but the fix for it (from what I’ve read) was to extend the cable all the way out of the cable compartment.
hi, so does that mean that the cable interferes with the PCB somehow…?
