Fightstick limited options, please help

Hi everyone, first I must say that I have read a lot of threads about the available fightsticks for the 360. I do feel my case is special so I created my own thread.

I live in South Korea, if you dont know finding imported items are hard to find. I have been to the only place in Seoul, that would sell fighsticks. My only option right now is the Hori Blazblue fighstick. They want about $120 (currency exchange estimate). I dont know anything about fighsticks, as Street Fighter IV has been the only fighting game I have enjoyed enough to really get competitive with it. I am currently playing on a regular 360 controller. I can do cool combos maybe once, but its seems everyone has the ridiculous timing down exact everytime. This could be just because they have been playing a lot longer, or they have fightsticks or whatever.

I read the reviews of the fightstick in question, and it raises some concerns for me. a 6 button layout seems kind of lackluster for me. and it seems like people just mod this thing anyway.
I can order the sf4 te fightstick from ebay but the price would be something to really consider. I cant get it here cheaper than $200. the TE everyone loves and it has cool parts or whatever and i dont need to mod it. Im the kind of guy that doesnt like having cheap shit.
Will I never know the difference and because its my first fightstick, I will be fine with a 6button 360 blazblue fightstick? some say yes, some say get the TE if you can. Is the TE worth the $200 I need to spend to get it here?

ps. do you play with the fightstick on a table or in your lap? (not your personal fightstick)

SE is pretty cheap if around 65-70 usd, not sure about shipping to south korea tho

I play on a couch with a chair infront of me (stick on chair)

thanks for finding hte capcom shop site for me. would i notice or be happy with the differences between the SE and TE models?

yes. TE will make you hard and dripping. se might MIGHT make you hard.

also, you should have posted this 2 weeks sooner. I just got back from a trip to Seoul. I coulda bought a fightstick here and brought it to you in exchange for the money I paid.

awwwwwwwwwwww boo!

I hope 200 bones with worth getting my bone hard. I have to play mostly jap players because of the time zone and connection.

Why don’t you buy a Saulabi?

DON’T YOU LOVE YOUR COUNTRY??

haha i bet he does, but i think we can assume that its for the same reason that some “americans” dont buy happ, myself included. although i never minded it at arcades (probably cause i didnt know any better), now that i have a TE sanwa buttons just feel better (to me)…

To OP IMO yes you should get the TE, ive never played on an SE stick but I have played on an FS3 (and i heard in terms of quality they arent too far off), boy did i hate playing on my buddies FS3 after playing on my TE. the weight of the TE made it much sturdier and the stick and buttons felt more responsive to me, like i could play with less effort.
