nice
try jumping forward if you anticipate this, sometimes youll just jump over doom and be able to ahvb both characters
^Lol. Thats good shit.
I had a homie back in the day who used to do njupbck.jab, j.fp whenever I teleported onto him when he had cable. Works surprisingly well and its a good risk reward. Dead ninja if cable has bar vs a trap pattern that won’t kill you if you block it. Then if strider tries the same trick again but is aware of the counter and blocks it, you can GB his ninja ass still. lame?
cable vs. strider sounds very lame indeed. imma try that shit when i come down there, though I havent seriously played cable in like a year. :shake:
lol at this thread being almost next to a thread started by clockwork, anyways strider/doom is always fun to see in action
chip damage ftw!!!
I feel like the best strategy to stop ssd is to stop sent\doom clean while you maintain the life lead with your first character. This leads to a few things.
-
take out sent\doom leaving strider with as little bar as possible.
-
let strider dump it. Chances are he won’t kill you if you block him. He’ll eventually run out of bar sooner or later. When he backs off to try to get more bar, thats your time to get him.
It takes like 20-30 bars to chip a full team to death. Thats a lot of bar to build let alone thats a lot of times to activate. The more strider has to do, the greater the chances are that he’ll fuck up sooner or later. Its the nature of the ninja, its really hard to play him 100% perfectly 100% of the time. If you put the ninja in the situation where he has to do all the work, he could possibly make a mistake. He takes a lot of inputs to play right.
-
always pick an AA that stuffs doom clean or if you don’t have that type of AA, learn where your AA wins @. capcom for instance, yes doom beats capcom but capcom wins @ certain ranges where the doom rocks aren’t. Aim with the pillar. If you have an AA that stuffs doom clean every time, the ninja has to create perfect trap reps. Keep putting him the spot where he has to do shit perfectly and if its slightly off, go get him.
-
if sent\doom does any kind of life to the point character, 50% or more, thats a good spot for strider. Chances are the bot built a little bar and once the bot dhc’s into strider, strider can use that last bit of bar to chip the first character away. Now the ninja has the team advantage vs a team with proper chemistry and the ninja can easily work that advantage. This is the ideal startegy for most s\d players because it seems to be the simplest\effective.
-
for the love of god, learn to guard cancel. yea, there’s anti guard cancel trap but that doesn’t mean you still can’t get out of it you anticipate it properly. If strider is able to pressure you, you’ll eventually fall for something or get hit in which case, thats potential death.
-
alpha counters do hurt the ninja but an EXP strider player will look for it constantly. imo, cyclops has the best AC vs strider because he can’t dodge it.
-
if the strider player is sitting on bar and trying to use it wisely, put him in a position where he has to activate to stop a bad situation from happening. If you play it right from here, you can stay mobile vs that single trap sequence and escape. Keep doing this to him till he runs out of bar. If he doesn’t fall for it because he knows what you’re up too, its free rush sequences.
-
lastly, sometimes the ninja just goes on a killing spree dropping everything he sees. Its really hard to stop him when he’s like this. If the strider player is in the zone, you shouldn’t try to kill him immediately because he’s probably looking for CH’s or counter positioning. Break striders rhythm first then put some pressure on him and see how he reacts.
its easy to beat S/D just play against shoultluza.
can’t believe toan posted something
whats good with an s/d mirror match next time i see you?
Cable has really long block recovery, something you might want to keep in mind.
I hate playing team Clockwork for too long. After a while, it gets boring and slightly frustrating. Did I mention I hate playing Magneto on pad? So, I have to play him a bit safer and slower than the more experienced stick Mags would lol
Unknownenemyzero, 2 days. Ft10, $30. Be ready (because that’s about all I can take vs your annoying Clockwork lol).
