I’m going to try live stream the semi’s and finals off my phone at about 4 pm gmt+1 here: http://qik.com/gotglint/videos

No idea of the quality.

There’s now some actual content on streetfighter.ie, including details of the big SSF4 launch event in Dublin on May 1st.

The Big FREE SSFIV Launch event is this Saturday at the XGC on Lower Liffey Street.

You Know you want it.

Im here in Dublin guys at The Westbury Hotel… any arcades or local Super Street fighter 4, marvel vs capcom 2 players around?

Bad news: Unless you’re content to play outdated versions of Tekken 6 or VF5 there’s nothing for you in Dublin’s arcades (or at least in Dr. Quirkey’s, the main arcade. I don’t think anywhere else in Dublin has fighting games at all, though.) Also, no MVC2 scene to speak of.

Good news: There is a healthy (and growing) Street Fighter scene in Dublin. Tomorrow there will be a free SSF4 launch event (see previous post) and there are regular meetups at the same venue. Check out http://streetfighter.ie/ and http://boards.ie/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=1204 if you want to know more about the Irish fighting game community.

The interviews from Saturday’s launch event are up:

Remember Check out streetfighter.ie for more details.

And If you’re in Ireland on holiday PM me for a quicker response.

I missed the SSF4 launch event, but hopefully i’ll be back in Ireland, cause im on tour and will be in Europe for the whole month, till about June 6th. Thanks guys!

Location For Evo Qualifier has been changed to XGC Lower Liffey Street Dublin Ireland.

See this thread for details: http://shoryuken.com/showthread.php?t=238271

For various reasons, lack of attendance being the big one, the evo tickets prize was kept over till this weeks inferno tournament.

None of the top 3 can go, so it’s still unclear what the situation re: the ticket is.

Here are the results anyway

Better quality video will be up later.

Anyone in derry? We have a goming club at the University, Core. Its off for the summer, but still, we all meet up occasionally for hardcore sessions, if anyone’s up for it get back to me.

I swear I had replied to this…

I’m not to familiar with the derry scene (though i know there is something up there) The Dragonslayers guys in Belfast would be the next closest bet they run regular tournaments etc and would know the lay of the land up there.

you should PM Yerval at the top of the page, I’d bet he’d be able to fill you in better.

Inferno Ten will be on Saturday the 3rd of July in the XGC Lower Liffey Street Dublin, as always.

Registration ends at 13:30
Entry: ?15

This will be back to normal, with the normal prize structure of all the entry fees split between the top three finishers.

Usual rules apply and bring your own controller and copies of the game please.

Any questions feel free to ask.

Hi all,

I will be traveling to Ireland late August and I was wondering if there are any arcades in/around Dublin? Not a crucial thing, but my GF wants a day with her friend and I would like to kill the time playing some Super or whatever.

Thanks in advance.

Hi man, no real arcade around (well not with SF anyway) However there is a strong community and we hold SSFIV tournaments etc in gaming cafes and the like.
Every Sat and Wednesday we have casual games (if a tournament is not taking place) and outside of those days people would be happy to meet up with you for a some games.

What dates will you be in Dublin?
