There’s plenty more that I just don’t know… but the point is… it’s mostly Asians and Hispanics that play MvC2… even from being in CTF, the only black people I remember being there were Sanford, Matrix, Desmond, Josh Wigfall, and the few times Demon Hyo showed up… or do Hispanics count as “black” as well?
I’m fine with most of the shit used in the FGC. However chicken blocking doesn’t sit well with me because of the bird-like imagery I picture whenever I hear it.
E-sports I don’t consider fighting game lingo, but I think it’s gay that the term has crept its way into the FGC and has been used more frequently recently.
Also calling the MVC3 guides “bibles” is just wrong. They got out-dated way too soon and they have just been unholy fucking games so far anyway.

e-sports I’m okay with, but I think the people that don’t like it don’t like it for similar reasons I don’t like the term gamer. I can supply no substitute for e-sports and would much prefer that over any kind of “gaming” any day, but hey, that’s just me.
However, I don’t know if anyone else uses this. But I heard a guy refer to Zangief’s Banishing Flat as The Kryptonite because it’s glowing and green. Loved it.

It’s like this, ROM was the japanese player that invented/discovered the Magneto infinite in MvC2. It’s known for looking like a zigzag, up and down motion that Magneto does while coordinating Super jumps, attacks and airdashes. His name was given to the infinite, for respect and ease of use.
Now, Marvel 3 comes out, and a similar Magneto combo is discovered. The same zigzag, up and down pattern is identified and it gets the name “Ghetto ROM”, because it’s clearly not Magneto’s old ROM, nor is it an infinite. The “Ghetto” part was dropped by most, either because they didn’t know about it or because they didn’t feel like writing/saying it out.
But now, ultimate comes out, and EVERY SINGLE PERSON wants their character to have a “ROM”. It’s retarded. Doom MnMs turn into ROM. Wesker air loops are ROM. Modok stupid-ass combos are ROM. LeiLei air loops… ROM.
I mean, and you ask these guys if they know what ROM means, they won’t be able to give you a correct answer, most likely. It’s just retarded.
Also, people calling Magneto doing j.H > addf j.H > launcher > Again a ROM. Just… stupid.
Also also: Most shit said on the frontpage nowadays is just ignorant.
They need to go play a good Mag in MvC2 or Storm. Even Morrigan in MvC2 has a set up into option select that’s more of a vortex than anything in SF4 or MvC3. The way games are dumbed down nowadays, I doubt we will see a vortex any time soon.
A lot of work goes into making one even having a development version of the game where you could get most of the data easily the only thing you have to do on your own is the frame advantage and disadvantage but development boards have a frame by frame mode too.
