Fighting Game I've been working on

Its called Spectrum of Violence. Its browser based, built in Flash. I did all of the artwork, animation, backgrounds etc. My buddy Robert Gough built the engine and programmed everything. I’ve been working on the game since 2007 I think. Its about 80% complete. Right now there are 6 playable characters and 1 background. I started working on more characters and backgrounds but since the coder left the project I’ve put this project on hiatus. Right now I’m focusing on a game called Killgore 2, a sequel to a game I released earlier this year.

I know its pretty rough around the edges but I’d love to hear what people from the fighting game community think about the game :slight_smile:

The controls are:

P1
JKLI- move/jump/block
A - Kick
S - Punch
D - Special

P2
Arrow Keys- move/jump/block
[ - Kick
] - Punch
\ - Special

*  Press forward or back while pressing an attack button to do different attacks
      o EXAMPLE:
        Back+ punch = light punch
        Forward + punch = heavy punch

*  Press any direction while pressing the special button to do different special attacks. Check character section.
      o EXAMPLE:
        Forward + special = forward special
        Up + special = up special 

*  Press punch+kick to grab

*  Press punch+kick+special to perform a Super Attack

*  Standard Attacks can be chained together i.e. LP ->  LK -> MP -> MK -> HP -> HK

*  Standard Attacks can be canceled with Special and Super attacks

NOTE: Flash Player doesn’t have native gamepad/joystick support so you’ll need to download Joy2Key to use your favorite pad/stick.

Ya I’ve got 5 more characters in progress and 4 more backgrounds that I finished but the coder left the project so I stopped working on the game. I’m looking for a new programmer now.

I’ve always wanted a Sia type character. Not a lot of black chicks in fighting games.

Well Pam Grier is a sexy badass. I like the art style. How far along are you in development?

You can combo grabs on Wayne with Otto and Anon:

Otto can combo from d+punch followed by neutral+special also neutral punch followed by neutral special.
Anon can combo the tackle.

People get stuck if Wayne hits them with the fart(n+special) while they are jumping up, it handcuffs them.

Wayne gets handcuffed if Vanessa hits him with her d+special

Otto can perform a teleporting grab, much like Zangief’s reversal Siberian Suplex, except this one can otg, it’s done by pressing either f or b +p+k whenever you want to.
Don’t win a match with this grab, unless you want the game to freeze.

Further Otto can perform teleport grab after his other grabs for extra damage, after his d+special Giant Swing and his RDVD. If you do the teleport grab when the opponent is standing, they will recover instantly as standing, but they still get full damage.

Otto Infinite:
In the corner, d+special -> d+special -> d+special -> d+special ->d+special
