For mirror matches- I usually don’t mind unless the matchup is boring
ST- Honda vs Honda is boring
In the games I respect and play, who I hate facing. I wont list games I don’t respect, like KOF after 98.
98- Iori, Takuma, O-Yash, O-Ryo, Brian (Everyone uses him as Akuma I see, I don’t mind skilled O-Ryo users, just the scrubs)
ST- O-Sag, Vega
RBFF- Kim
RBFF2- Kim, Rick
SSVSP- Basara (though Basara is the truth, it’s just annoying as hell to fight him unless I use Basara-bane)
Tekken- Heihachi
KOFXI- Duck, Gato, Kula
3s- Yun, Yang, Chun (especially in lag, Yun and Yang are auto lag-abuse chars)
In third strike I’ve played against some pretty good Hugo’s which made me scare to even approach him. I found myself not finishing combos and jumping back because they would fucking pull a grab on every wakeup. I’m such a srub
This boggles the mind. Spidey’s danger comes with his crossup properties. Outside of that, he’s garbage. Hell, you can throw him out of Maximum Spider on startup. Who are you using against Spidey? I do agree on that Double War-Machine, though. That’s just not fair at times.
I dislike mirror matches as well. Especially Vega vs. Vega in ST. That battle is all about momentum. It basically comes down to who can hit the most wall dives in both rounds. And if you lose that momentum, you’re fucked.
ST-Dee Jay,Zangief=projectile and throw monkeys
Tekken-bears,Williams sisters,Paul
VF-Brad,Jacky,Dural
MB-Hisui & Kohaku
3S-Ansatsuken fighters(incl. Sean) cpu=Shouryuken whores, fighting Gill is more fun than them
I still find this to be a bunch of excuses. If you beat me then you’re better than me, or at the least “did” better than me. But if I beat you I don’t want to her a bunch of excuses. Saying shit like I can beat players A, B, and C and you can’t doesn’t mean anything to me, because players A, B, and C were not involved in this match.
Uhh let’s stop this before it goes into a flame war. But in all honesty you are right.
At that time [the match] and either of you beat the other then that person is considered the better. But in my personal experience, I don’t base how good a person is on just one fight. It usually takes me about 20+, weither it be ditto’s or whatever.
In tekken, for example, Otokonoko has come out of nowhere and is greatly known for his comeback ability. Does that mean he is better than Qudans, Shou, 200won, etc? Maybe, maybe not. I guess what I am trying to say is that someones skill/sbility can not be based on just one match.
