Fighting Game Characters you Hate fighting against!

We? I’m afraid you’re only speaking for yourself. post needs editing

Its more that if someone beats me with the same character, theyre all BECAUSE IT WAS THE SAME CHARACTER IM OBVIOUSLY BETTER when i generally dont say anything.

Its not about excuses, i dunno, certain games its worse than others. Some of them i dont mind, like me and Hatman in Tekken are Asuka brothers, so playing against him with Asuka is fun, but like, not playing against random scrub who may do stupid shit and win a match and then say “oh man im better than you because i beat you with your character in that one match”.

Yuyuko mirrors are retarded. So are 3S Chun-Li mirrors.

But those are the only mirror matches I can think of that are particularly stupid/boring to fight, IMO.

Though I wonder if Cassy/Sophy/Xiang mirrors are retarded too (I wouldn’t know).

:rofl::rofl:

You and me both

You have to admit, that’s some pretty solid logic. All things being equal, and you lose, he’s better. Calling him a scrub and saying he did ‘stupid shit’ is loser talk; saying it was random stupid shit that you lost to makes YOU look bad, not him.

Akuma, and Axl.

Nah, winning/losing in mirrors doesn’t mean much. Just like winning/losing in money matches doesn’t mean much either (except that some one got paid).

All it means is player (a) can beat player (b) under specific circumstances. But, so what?

There have been situations where Player (A) can beat George, Jack, and John. But then Player (B) can’t beat George, Jack, or John. But then Player (B) can beat Player (A). I would say Player (A) is better in this situation because he can beat more players that the other guy can’t.

Why? Who knows why, who cares why.

If rankings really mean much to people then do roundrobins and tournaments.

no, i dont say anything either way. But then he rubs it in my face if he wins saying “im the better player of ~~~~” character.

You act like i go “youre a fucking scrub you did random shit”

Im just saying if he plays well for one match with my character, then he’s like “OMG IM BETTER THAN YOU WITH YOUR OWN CHARACCTER” when it may not be true just cause he won one match or a 2/3 with the same character.

Obviously because i dont like mirrors, i have very little experience against my own character. Therefore i tend to lose vs tricks that are simple as hell just cause i dont play against them.

its like, there’s more on the line for me if i lose when i lose vs my own character, than if i was just playing them as their main. I want to enjoy the matches and whoever wins, wins, not worry about like OMG I CANT LOSE cause then it brings unnecissary not-fun.

And it doesnt even have to be said to me, but that kinda stuff is talked behind backs all the time.

I never understood this concept. I confuses me, I just don’t get it.

I’m not saying that this is the way you are, hnana, but I mean just in general. I know you keep shit to yourself, and that’s cool because then it doesn’t ruin the game for the other guy. But I keep running into people who get upset when playing, and then ruin shit for me too.

Like, I’ve met far too many people who absolutely hate losing in general, or they don’t enjoy the game at all unless they are winning. Or people who take things personal under certain circumstances, like for a moneymatch, or mirrormatch, or tournament.

If anything it makes it not-fun for everyone when people react that way. Like, I was just trying to play and now I can’t have fun because you’re taking it too personal and not having fun either.

Y’all are bringing up some pointless stuff. All that matters is if you win or lose against your current opponent. If you can beat him then you’re better, if you lose then you’re worse. Plain and simple, no other random crap needs to be added. No BS excuses like “he was a scrub” or anything else.

^bleh, damn dudley player :annoy:

I’m so sure all the Sean and Alex players of the world definitely feel their opponents are better than them when they lose, especially when they lose to Chun.

Also, some people really do have problems with mirror matches. It’s not unrealistic for a person to consistently beat his opponent with any other matchup, and then lose during a mirror match.

I’ll die doubly(Dudley and Adon). What is Adon doing to annoy you(other than his character design)?

sorry for stating my opinion that i dont like mirror matches, then. Didnt mean to start shit, but whatever, im a scrub so its expected. I also just do really bad against my own character also, which doesnt help.

And he can be better than me and still be a scrub. Its whether or not he acts like a scrub that annoys me. And its not even the matchup itself (tho i tend to lose to my own character a lot), its just certain people that i dislike who do stuff with mirror matches that caused me to dislike them as a whole. =P

I play Dudley and usually hate mirror matches with him, not because if i loose its to my character, its just that i have to experiance the corner rape i do to people sometimes lol.

Chun vs Chun at highlevel may look boring to non sf3 players on video but in person its fucking nailbiting. Watching Fubarduck and Jwong play eachother was awesome.

This is too black and white and just not true…

First off, about mirror matches…as already stated, if he beats you in a mirror match, it only means he played better than you with your character, against the same character. It doesn’t mean your opponent can play better than you with that character against all other characters.

As for just winning/losing in general…just winning doesn’t mean you’re better than your opponent. Simple example is where player A beats B, B beats C, but C beats A. Also…have to take into consideration character matchups, and other factors.

Another example where winning does not really mean you’re better, is if someone does something that is an accident and hits you with it without them even intending to do that move, and happens to win as a result of that accident. He can’t really say he’s better than you, since he won by doing something he didn’t even want to do. The opponent lacked intentionality…

It is technically possible for a blindfolded player without ever playing a game, to beat a good player. He just has to somehow guess right in almost every instance. The probability of this is extremely low…almost zero. But, it’s possible. It’s also possible for a team of blindfolded basketball players to beat the best team in the NBA, with extreme luck (just get the ball, shoot wildly from where you are standing and hope it just happens to go in every time). If that blindfolded team happens to win, it doesn’t imply that the team, when blindfolded, is better than the team they beat. Extreme example, but applicable to cases where opponents are mashing moves without knowing what they are doing (or even not intending to do that move in the first place), and hitting you by accident anyway.

Being better than someone is extremely difficult to objectively rate properly, too many factors…choosing “if you win, you’re better, if you lose you’re worse” is just taking the lazy way out.

With regards to mirror matches, I keep seeing one guy who issues MM challenges for Yamazaki vs yamazaki. Would that be skilfull (since he can anticipate anything that character can do) or simply scrubby (since that’s the only character he can do that well against)

airic isnt ALL bad but he has a shitty way of playing. all you gotta do is stay in one place and throw him out of rolls…yes speaking from experience. but yeah just yama vs yama and no one else is considered “scrubby”. then again it doesnt really matter…you can always choose not to play…whatever.

No Leona?

And finally. Mirror Matches of course.

3rd Strike Makoto

I understand her and her game. I know ways to approach a match with her. It’s just never fun.
