also… always i hated doing combos on jam in general cus her hitbox is skinny as hell both in air and on ground. but i don’t mind when i’m playing millia in ac cus she can do some really sick combos on jam for whatever reason.
yea, that too. the weight thing can go both ways, though. her being light was bad news for some characters, while for others it was a good thing. the only case of a character being “too light” to a point of presenting more frequent problems in gg is baiken, imo.
her hitbox issue was sort of universal, though… except for few (like case of millia in ac that i mentioned).
on other hand, i liked combo’ing on johnny cus him being huge, somewhat heavy and having little launch distance off the ground allows for all sorts of goofy stuff with many chars.
and axl has always been the test dummy for combos since xx.
his hitbox becomes really “short” in air. this gives off the impression to a lot of people that he’s heavy, although he’s not. but yea, a lot of characters always needed to do ky-specific air combos in many cases.
his crouching hitbox is one of the widest in the game, though.

Speaking of hitboxes, it’s pretty rare to run into a hardcore Elena player, but god DAMN Elena has some of the most bizarre hitboxes and also hittable boxes. I’ve seen some really random crazy shit happening with 3S Elena.
3S: I really hate playing against Dudley’s. It is tough fighting against such a classy man.
SSBM: Pikachu. I don’t like fighting it cause of its easy set ups and it just breaks my defense too much and I am a pretty defensive player… plus its hard to grab. I am just kind of bored of it, it always feels the same.
Sonic the Fighters: Fang. I guess I don’t really hate this one match much but its probably my least favorite match up in this game. He keeps attack applying pressure with those projectiles, then I slowly approach and right when I get ready to move forward just a bit more. BAM! No Land Direction Unblockable in my face, then he backs up again and we are back to were we started. Though usually the unblockable doesn’t hit work as a No Land Direction but it sucks when it does… either way you still end up it basically going back to trying to get through his projectiles from afar.
seems to me this thread is all about bitching, whining and venting frustration, which is not too bad once in a while
3s: Ken. He is the scrubbiest character in the game hands down and everyone and their momma picks him.
cvs2: a-blanka because fighting against rc electricity is a pain, cammy, because her hp and hk beats nearly everything in the game that has no invincibility, chun li just because she is gimmicky in a strong way.
mvc2: msp. this team requires no strategy.
a3: dhalsim and chunli: fucked up priority on pretty much everything, not to mention a lot of vcs dont work on sim.
kofxi: kyo and clark. scrubby characters that 99% of the fobs use. hyper hop b, e ftl:tdown: a good gato is a pain in the ass but those hardly exist.
ggxxac: sol. because everyone and their momma uses him despite the fact there is more than 20 characters in the game.
CvS2: Gief. I can’t seem to pressure him enough. EVER. Fuckin’ commie.
3S: KEN. For someone who plays Elena, a halfway decent Ken is my worst nightmare.
GGXXAC: Johnny, but only because of KMX.
Smash: Mario, and vicariously, Dr. Mario. For some reason, I have more trouble with those fuckfarts than anyone else.
Kof:
Chin/Chang - both have good jump attacks that outprioritize most others, and dangerous supers
Chris - in kof98 especialy…the slide is too good
Benimaru - my general strategy of running under jump attacks doesn’t work well here since Benimaru’s jump D crosses up too easily…and it has really good priority in the air. Have to play mad keepaway
