Hi, I thought it would be interesting to show similarities of some fighting game characters. Now, im not proving one is better then the other, or that Company “A” stole Company “B” character design and playstyle. Im just pointing out how simlar some characters are from each other from other games.
KOF Yuri and Athena - SF Sakura (School Girls, and Yuri’s and Sakura DP are almost the same)
KOF Mai - SF Ibuki (Female Type Ninjas)
KOF Lucky Glauber - SF III Sean ( African American with a Basketball, they both have a jump shot special move)
KOF Vanessa - SF III Dudley ( Boxer style)
KOF Choi - SF Vega (Somewhat)
man capcom’s stupid ‘hsien-ko’ character in marvel vs capcom 3 is a total rip off of blaz blue’s taokaka … capcom get original and stop riping off arc sys man and give us what we REAL players want like mega man x…
Even the most obscure fighters that barely anybody has heard of nor plays take a page from popular fighting games.
Katekyo Hitman Reborn Battle Arena 2 Spirit Burst is an example of this.
Tsuna’s 22A/B/C is a flash kick and his j.2B is a dive kick, Gokudera’s Sistema C.A.I. is like Urien’s Aegis Reflector, Ryohei plays like Dudley, Future Lambo’s projectile is basically Geese Howard’s Reppuken in disguise and he has meter building taunts like Q, Lal Mirch’s 236A/B/C is similar to Yang and Millia Rage’s “raid” dash, Dino’s whip has him play like Dhalsim while also being able to swing around like Spider Man and his 1st Hyperstrike is like Nanaya Shiki’s 236C, Belphegor has Dio Brando’s knives, Xanxas’ 22A/B/C is like T.Hawk’s and Alex’s shoulder bump, Ginger Bread’s j.2B is like Twelve’s and Arakune’s multi-hit diving aerial attack, Genkishi’s 22A/B/C is more akin to a tornado kick and his 2nd Hyperstrike is clearly borrowed from Shun Goku Satsu, King Mosca is basically a Potemkin with Zangief’s throw animations and Gamma is obviously a rip off of Venom with the Billiards motif both in fighting style and in the game, etc.
It’s kinda like that Kratos-wannabe guy in Mortal Kombat.
Also not a lot of people know this but Fei Long is basically just a clone of an old World Heroes character named K. Dragon, even down to his high-pitched battle cries and backstory as an actor. Lame as hell…
