I wonder if this thread’s suitable for the SNES spinoff, “Fighter’s History ???”, or if it should get its own (laughable) thread.

The second SNES game is similar to Karnov’s Revenge, but smaller, apparently to fit in the space they had:

Removed from the original were:

Jean
Ray
Samchay
Marstorius
Matlok

Added:

Yungmie
Zazie
playable Clown
playable Karnov
boss/code-unlockable Chelnov (yes, the Atomic Runner. Beats Ox for an awesome bonus)

Gameplay’s just like FHD, for the most part. Hell, maybe Karnov even has his TOD combos still. Chelnov’s broken as hell (no, seriously. Getting dizzy against him == put the controller down, 'cause it’s corner rape time, and he didn’t bring any lube), and I think everyone’s got some bullshit they can abuse.

Next time there’s a big 2D night in my area, I’ll see if it can be loaded up to find out what can be done with it.

Hit stun is really long in this game, I can imagine that there is some really stupid crap you can do because of that. I wouldn’t bother with it. If there is a major 2d event you should be hyping FHD and NOT this game.

Well, I wasn’t talking about anything super serious. Just ammo for the ‘WTH random fighter did Tib bring THIS time?’ kinda thing.

I’d probably get folks interested in giving it a try by playing the Atomic Runner character and stage a few times 'til it gets noticed.

There wasn’t anything held for it at least from what I saw. I was around the casual areas for the most part and didn’t see a single setup for it. The only time it got play was during the random game tournament that was held. Besides that nothing happened :sad:.

I fucked around with this game a lot. There is a LOT of broken shit in it.

I go into the Karnov room every time I go on GGPO just to check if anyone is on but nobody ever is. I am totally down to play Karnov’s. I just picked it up not too long ago.

What character do you guys consider the best? I’ve been playing Ray, Mizo, Ryoko, and Jean lately.
