Presented by the UWGamers club from the University of Waterloo, this is Fight On!
First and foremost, you should know that ALL prizes will be awarded in the form of gift certificates to Futureshop (due to university club restrictions), so don’t complain if you win any!
SF4 ($5), BlazBlue ($2), and GGAC ($2) are pretty much guaranteed to run. The other games may not, depending on time and turnout. In particular, we’ve never had a good local turnout for Tekken, so if you’re thinking of travelling here just for T6, you probably shouldn’t.
Lastly, the venue has a Tim Hortons and vending machines, but if you want something else to eat, you should buy it first and bring it to the tourney. “The Bomber” is adjacent and serves drinks past a certain time, or something (someone else can post details). Do not bring alcohol or any drugs except cigarettes, because I think everything else is banned on campus.

- Guilty Gear XX: Accent Core
SIDE TOURNAMENTS
- Soul Calibur 4

A side tournament must have at least 8 entrants to run, otherwise there will just be casuals.
Side tournaments may also be cancelled due to a lack of time or resources.
PRIZE DISTRIBUTION
All prizes are awarded as Futureshop gift certificates due to university restrictions. The plan is to overestimate how many people will show up, buy gift certs (lots of $5s, $10s, and $20s) before the tournament, then use the extras for future UWGamers events. This means the prizes have to be awarded in multiples of $5.
The prizes will depend on the # of entrants. Here is exactly how the prizes will be distributed:

In summary:
- Street Fighter 4: the club takes 25% to 30% of the entry fees. The remainder are split roughly 1:2:7 between 3rd/2nd/1st place.
- $2 entry games: the club takes 37% to 47% of the entry fees. The remainder are split roughly 1:4 between 2nd/1st place.
- Project Justice: 1st place wins a $5/$10/$15 gift cert for 4/8/12 entrants. If there are 16+ entrants, 2nd place wins a $5 gift cert.
Yes I know this is overcomplicated. Suggestions are welcome. Hate will be ignored.
