Tourney went well even if nobody showed up for 3S/CVS2. It was definitely more so a Tekken/SSBM event. Good casual games had with everyone and it was fun getting rocked by J.Wong’s Elena and seeing Sayco again after a long time. Even Guilty Gear was fun with just 8 people (that game is always fun tho). Hopefully there’s a better 3S turnout at the next one. Either that or I’m just gonna have to start playing Dark Res.

okay, so when is the next event? The spot is hot and it looks like you can hold a regional in there.

Yeah I agree the venue there is REALLY nice, and afterwards I got to talk to the owner of the establishment for abit and he said that he’d be fine with holding more tournies and such there.

I’m thinking of running a GG one…

paying 3 spots for a 4 man tourney??? ummmmm ok. so umm was there say an empty table not being used for say some kind of poker to be setup on?? maybe thatll attract extra heads next time.

Yeah I’d have to agree w/ Devil Jin, the overall count for anything besides Tekken DR and Smash was quite low, but the quality of players there was very good. Didn’t really walk by any TV’s at any point and just say “that guy sux”.

I also play Tekken and 3S however, I need to defend my ridiculous loss that day and take 1st in the next SC3 tournament before tryin to win a DR tournament w/ Kazuya.

Good times chilin’ w/ the Empire (as usual) and look forward to the Richmond event in June.

Jinmaster…I want my money in 1’s so I can count my victory. Unless you learn Maxi, I don’t suggest using X.

Maxi is a beast. If I still played SC I’d use him. He was awesome in SC1 and he looks a bit better in 3 (he got stripped of all his belongings in 2 for whatever reason).

As far as poker…it’d have to be done in one of the bigger cubicles in the middle of the event. There’s only two areas big enough for poker (everything else is in smaller cubicles that are only good for like 2 people).

The only thing I don’t like about the venue is that even though it’s spacious the cubicle design (made for casual sit down gaming) just leaves less room to walk around and the staff were constantly asking people to move out of their way. That would makes sense if there was actually somewhere to go.

People wanted to watch J.Wong and others play some of the 2d fighters and it was impossible to watch when the only place we could play didn’t have anywhere for us to watch. Spectating games is near impossible unless it’s in the larger cubicles and the only other place to go is to stuff yourself inside a 2 player cubicle.

Copy pasta:

Turnout wasn’t that great but the venue was nice and everyone was playing pretty good (omg Eli?! Lol). At least I got some games in during the break, good stuff everyone.

Also, gs to DevilJin for entering and doing decent in /.

BTW LOL at 3 man DOA4 tournament. That’s just…ugh…
