My problem is that whenever i press light on my fightstick once i will get two light button inputs instead of one, now it is very inconsistent and i’d say it wont happen 9 times out of ten but it’s still very fustrating and annoying. this is also troublesome because i play with deadpool in marvel and i will get ninja stars instead of his light version of guns, and i play with dante and i will get hammer instead of killer bee etc…I have also checked inside my fightstick to see if light’s cable was inserted correctly and it seemed perfectly normal. I have checked google and SRK and my problem seems very unique so a solution would most likely be hard to find.
May be a lose contact. Try detaching and reattaching the cables to the button. You can also try holding the button down and shaking the stick to see if something happens.
using sanwa’s? maybe switch to a less sensitive button type?
What Gorath said.
I had hell adjusting to using Sanwa’s growing up on American cabinets. I’m 100x more comfortable using Seimitsu buttons (and sticks) than Sanwa. It seemed like I was getting phantom jabs thrown when someone next door farted with a stock TE.
I tryed detaching and reattaching before I posted, I just tryed your holding the button down and shaking the stick, and afterwards no problem so far, but like I said it’s very inconsistent, I will let you know if it happens again. I have a TE mad catz fightstick and this is my first one, it’s not that the buttons are too senstitive it’s just a legitmate problem cuz it’s just the light button and it use to not be like that.
Problem still persists holding the button down and shaking it didn’t work I guess the only solution is to buy another sanwa button?
You could swap the button (or even just the micro) from one of the macro buttons (3P/3K), and then assign it to no-function (like many people do to achieve a 6-button layout). Makes the problem go away (unless you’re an 8-button user), and will act as a stopgap at least until you can get a new switch or button in.
