If we could come up with a way for roleless people to get bonus points, that might help lessen the need for lynch points.
Like… Roleless gets night killed by mafia or enforced by mafia = 1 bonus point? If you can sacrifice yourself to protect the roles, then that should be worth something… right?
I just don’t want the mafia to be like “well I’d enforce Pimp Willy, but I don’t want to give him a bonus point if I’m wrong, so I’ll enforce Synonym since I want him to have the points more”
You could also just do 3 GM choice points, where he assigns 3 bonus points to roleless civs anyway he wants, based on how they play?
Maybe something about the first person to put in his/her vote for a Mafia, after making a sufficient case gets the point. When that vote gets followed and goes through correctly
They are proven right, & get a form of direct credibility, and Mafia won’t generally ever be putting their own out there as a vote choice. The people who don’t even know why they’re voting for someone and do it to follow the leader/don’t get killed themselves aren’t all rewarded.
The person who put their neck out there as the next Mafia target (they need to get rid of this guy who figured them out) gets rewarded.
This is only complicated by the investigate roles, but there’s the mixup in revealing who they are if there’s no protection roles to back him up.
Playing Vergil is surrendering your soul to the spirit of Marvel.
Playing Dante is surrendering your soul to the spirit of Marvel, then taking the sword out of your chest and threatening the spirit of Marvel until you get it back.
