This is terrible. Nobody in a stream is a part of anything. At best, their best and best for them, they may have a chance to interrupt what happens. Very slim chance, only on those low viewer count, slow moving chats. Ya uncouth monsters.
I just quickly thought about that going into this post to note, Mafia get auto points here. It doesn’t prevent that scared stipulation of “voting out a fellow Mafia to get points.” Furthermore, Mafia have yet to change the results of all these bandwagon landslide votes, with their choice as the majority, ever?
As well it just generally lowers my PPGame considerably, which is why I would pay any attention to this change. So goodbye credibility, in terms of wanting people to vote somebody who I know is a Mafia and nobody gives a crap, lookout the time I get investigator or something.
So,
Can I be taught by sensei Missing over here how to get credibility? This is where these classmates will want to jump in to tell me what to do, despite being a person who knows playing the same is important, and gets an A from only the teach, not dumbass student nobodies*.
*There’s a story there, but its not for the here and now, and is not about Mafia game players.
HAX, I was thinking about that. I feel like it’s valid to give points for lynching out mafia in these games, but me and PW were debating how to do this.
What do you think? Obviously, the way we did it in the past isn’t really great, which was even if you were the only one who voted for a mafia, it was a point for you. I’m willing to concede that this way isn’t the best either. The only way I can think of is that only civilians receive a point if they are in the majority on lynching out a mafia.
I rarely vote with the majority (unless I’m leading it :P), but to me it seems that there’s no reason not to vote with the bandwagon, making it even easier for Mafia to blend in with votes. The ‘voting for Mafia, regardless of the lynch target’ that we’ve used in the past seems to be the most balanced, as it encourages us to come to our own conclusions.
That’s what I think, but I think this specific point is a damned if you/damned if you don’t situation.
Granted, the last two games, we’ve had some votes where even if you were mafia, and voting didn’t get anyone points, it would’ve been dumb NOT to vote the with the bandwagon.
Let’s get the debate going on this point. If it’s too much of a matter of dissent and contention that detracts from the game itself, I’ll do away with it. But to me, it seems kind of crummy that if you’re roleless, or in the case of this game, Kayo, you are limited to at most, 4 points or 5 points just because of luck of the draw. Makes roleless feel less invovled.
Synonym collecting good evidence every time and getting repeat Turnabout Modes from lucky hits doesn’t make him any less low tier (according to the Mafia Tier List anyway). Also not my fault the game glitched out and shot my Lvl 3 Buster straight through you mashing Helm Breaker.
