No birth control is 100% effective. Even if it’s 99.9% effective the amount of potential pregnancies to be had by opening up the armed forces to women is enough to make that rate problematic. Also what happens with catholics?
So what? Just because it happens now doesn’t mean anything. Allowing in women means it’s all but guaranteed to happen at a much higher rate.

and like always, banning a gender from enlisting, or from certain roles is a ham fisted approach to preventing potential bad behavior that either gender can engage in.

When all is said and done the lifting of this ban won’t have any real significant effect on our military power. Women generally dodge out of dangerous jobs enough as it is so I have a hard time believing millions of women will instantly jump at the opportunity to fight on the frontlines. The issue of a universal PE is also a big problem because if its implemented it serverly limits the amount of women who can participate. On the other hand if it isn’t implemented we will have a surplus of unqualified applicants flooding the battlefield with their blood and limbs…and considering its women’s blood and limbs the public outcry will be massive. Lastly the few women who do qualify are likely not going to touch the performance standards of the good male recruits so the potential for great soldiers is highly unlikely…at best we can just expect them to be as good as the generic male soldier.

Don’t Females already play American Football with males already(rarely happens)? At least thats what i hear in at least HighSchool level play
^Not that I know of. If nothing else it would stop the continuing disembowelment of high school and collegiate sports by Title IX if we just threw women in with men in all sports.

We took them out with us a few times. One was an engineer and one was in intel. We took contact and the intel chick threw her weapon and started screaming and tried to run away. Had to be held down so she didn’t get killed. She put everyone’s life in danger.

When I was in highschool, they had separate league for girls football. Two-hand touch or flags.
Also, there was a story of a girl who participated in the men’s wrestling team cause they didn’t have a women’s team, and one of the high ranked wrestlers from another school forfeited himself cause he refused to wrestle a girl.
then why not ban females from serving in any organization tasked with saving lives? NSA, FBI, CIA, DEA, Local police…Maybe the President shouldn’t hire any female staffers or cabinet members?
Castrating every servicemen would prevent this too but its a shitty solution, just like banning women from serving is.
And like I said earlier, this kind of thing probably already happens, which you concede, so it doesn’t really prevent it, it just prevents women from doing it, which may or may not make it more prevalent, but neither of us really knows.
What bothers me is that women are actually raped by their own comrades. It’s disgusting. How can you find the time to do such a thing, especially in a tanker, or better said, a war?
Also, there’s the thing about when women aren’t around at all. Are the other guys just chill about some guy masturbating, no matter how blatant it is?
The only people who should be banned are the people who are not qualified to be saving lives in first place hence the need for a universal PE which I believe most task forces don’t implement in the interest of being fair to women.
My male best friend’s twin sister and two other female friends were on the boy’s wrestling team at my school. They were much shorter than me, and weren’t that tall, but could throw down like the other guys. My friend’s sister even manhandled a guy from what I’ve heard, and she herself told me a story about how she shook down some other dude who taunted her for being a girl or something. Another friend’s ex-girlfriend was part of the Israeli Masad (or whatever it is). Just something to throw out there.
I have lived in a military environment all of my life up until about a year ago, and I occasionally asked female soldiers (all of which had different ranks, jobs, and were different ages) if they should be on the front lines. A lot of them told me yes, but only theoretically speaking. Most of the opinions were pretty similar as well. I was given a lot of reasons, but the best response I ever got was, “Hell no! We would rot from the inside out if we were ever trapped on the front and were on our periods!”
On another note: “Equality” means “same showers” right? Wouldn’t it be sexist to give women their own bathrooms/showers?
