Oh man, he even started taunting you at that last round. I see why he would. He would just dash up on you with low jab into hands while you were being EXTREMELY cautious. The match looked way too chill for him being absent of real pressure. I like your composure though Starnab. You notice that the round you did win, you rekka’d him more? 
As you can see, getting him to the corner is not really a problem. 
Also, I know
low strong > low fierce
is good for fishing for that low fierce link after a low strong CH, but vs a character where you are trying to get in (especially when they have a life lead), maybe Fei players should opt to
low strong > jab rekka
:u: which gives you the chance to play the mindgame and opt to low strong > dash up or low strong > jump forward
Then, when you have successfully landed a health lead (and a decent one), maybe switch to the strong to fierce keepaway.
You must not like the chickenwing in this match-up as a mid-screen? Any reason you didn’t use one during the footsy after noticing Honda was giving up charge at certain points?
Hey guys. I just moved from Akuma to Fei Long, got tired of running away all the time with Akuma and it took me quite a while to get used to linking and combo’ing with Fei, but now I win most of my matches with him.

I dunno about the others, but the Zangief i fought mostly do cross up and larait/spd on wake up.
And cw isn’t the best tool against Zangief. You got punished pretty much every time and cost quite a few ex bars, which should be spent on either super or ex fk imo.
Though I have to say I still have much to learn regarding applying pressure in this match up.
Yea his lariats can be a problem but you can counter it every time by c.HK, once you let him know you dont eat his lariats he’ll give it up.
LOL, I know about CW now against zangief, i do better now on my match ups with him.
Only a month now using Fei, so I have some match ups to learn.
But applying pressure is my good spot.
That Honda really was nice and I really liked how he did HHS FADC when the entire HHS wouldn’t connect. StarNab you missed tons of punishment and you saved up an infinite amount of super without ever using it.

bgf you just can’t put pressure on Zangief. That’s one of the main reasons I’m only using Fei as my secondary now.
A bit outside of low strong range and a bit inside of fierce rekka range, *MK/RH CW will net at least 2hits (on hit or on block). This is if they don’t see it from that range and respond with the appropriate counter(s). If they backdash, they usually get clipped by the last descending hit.
Honda often dashed up into that range.
*the reason why I don’t really worry about focus vs CW at this range…dp is still a problem, so shotos/cammy (more specifically, Ryu/Sagat/Cammy with 2meter + ultra) don’t allow the same attack option
The only way I see MK CW hit at that range is if Honda whiffs his hk so why not do focus there instead when honda gives up charge? Less risk, better positioning and higher reward.
Wow evilsnatcher, I’m very impressed with your cr. LK x2, cr. LP > rekkaken. That’s a one frame link so it’s quite hard to do but man, you’re the first I’ve ever seen to do it consistantly!
I was asking why he didn’t use CW at all in that proximity; not asking why he used it over focus. Good point though, but there is a range where MK/RH CW will extend further than even Fei’s focus Bub. Also, I wasn’t just saying he should fish for a hit, but even to get the CW blocked if he is comfortable dealing with Honda’s up-close options.
When you have an arcade stick it’s much easier to do consistently.

yea, Blanka is the last opponent you want to jump in. It’s good to do so for a surprise attack though, you know, like 1 in 7 times.
And I’d use quite a few rekkas for pokes against the beast. Push him into the corner and don’t let him get out. That’s how I usually do in the match up.
And you have nice cross up. Either that or your opponents aren’t good at dealing with them.
I think it’s risky to do cross up against someone who can block them decently in the corner. The situation can reverse.
Then again, if your opponent can’t block them, why not abuse it?
Speaking of abuses, I got a message saying I abused rekka against him in a G1 match. Looks like idiots are starting to get into G1 on the pc platform now.

Most people confuse on crossups when you start backing away, they think you’re gonna run just when you go ahead and cross them up, its a risk, but i’m someone who takes risks.
