Can someone please explain to me how this worked:
The ultra at 5 minutes. I’ve put it in training mode and no matter what I do I can’t make the ultra hit him.

It’s actually possible that Daigo may have tried to jump that Ultra, but due to the recovery from the Fireball, the jump was delayed to the last second. For 4 frames pre-jump, you’re vulnerable as your character is launching himself into the air (still grounded though).
Or it may just be really great timing/spacing.
Looked to me like it was still in his recovery; it’s not like Daigo would be worried about the chip damage, and he doesn’t seem like the type to try and force a perfect by taking unnecessary risks.
Still, that reaction time was scary.
what is fei’s most damaging combo to do after a focus attack?
i’ve been doing cl.mp xx HK CW >> HP XX rekka. but this combo only works on a handful of characters.
looking for damaging combos that can be used in place of this one.
i think u need to space it so that the first hit of the ultra whifs and the 2nd one hits. if you are too close, the first will hit and ryu will be able to block the 2nd hit. obviously you have to react fast enough to land the 2nd hit while ryu is still in recovery. very difficult.
edit: just went into training mode. i think ryu has to be doing a fierce fireball for this to work.
can you combo off of light chicken wing?
No. Only HK Rekkukyaku, and MK on Counterhit (If I recall correctly).
The best combos would be:
Meterless;
cl.HP xx HK FK
cl.HP xx HP Rekkas (does like 8 damage less but drives them to the corner)
1 Bar;
cl.HP xx EX FK (300 damage)
2 Bar;
cl.HP xx MK FK > HK CW
And so on. Obviously you wouldn’t FK into ultra because you’d just use your ultra after the FA…
Have you guys found a combos to stun Seth completely? I’ve been trying for days but can’t seem to stun him no matter what I try. I got to 675 stun points, but can’t get any farther. I even used a counter hit.
Don’t think there’s a combo, but if you use a reset you can stun him obv.
HK CW > cl.HP xx HP Rekkas x2 reset with tenshin cl.HP xx HK is stun on Seth I think.
For Dudley for example I know you stun him in:
j.HK, cl.MP xx HK CW > cl.HP xx HP Rekkas x2 reset with tenshin cl.MP xx HK CW > cl.HP xx MK FK
That one’s like 780 damage I think as well before the stun
I’ve been watching Mago’s inputs, along with Diago’s and a few other players. I’ve come to realise these guy’s are pushing a hell of a lot of buttons, when not a hell of a lot is happening.
I’ve tried to make sense of it, It could just be a play style thing (ie strumming buttons on a knockdown).
For example … Watch this Vid
YouTube - 0ShinAkuma0’s Channel
Whats going on at 56 seconds, 1 minute 17, 1 minute 37?
Also at 1min 44, why is he pressing the kicks like 4 times for the CW? The third round especialy there’s some strange things going on. If I didn’t know better I’d say it looks like turbo or mashing.
What do you guy,s think?
Watch the Diago vid also - YouTube - 0ShinAkuma0’s Channel
Same thing. All round strange shit going on.
Ps I’m on Bonchan’s channel as I’ve started playing Sagat as a side.
Most of the inputs are either :3p: or :3p::lk: so its probabaly just relaxing the hands on the sticks after a throw.
Yeah, but it’s multiple inputs. I’m leaning towards a tick( ie just tapping buttons out of boredom). I’m just not sure. You think at these levels the inputs are clean, but they’ve obviously got some high level shenanigans going on or I’m just looking into it too much.
:3p::lk: is likely a fall tech at 1:17. During the throws it’s just for fun.
1:44, it’s just to compensate for lag/force of habit. I do CWs with 2-4 separate kick presses as well–absolutely no harm in doing it and it lets you get your move out when you need it online or off. Cleaner =/= better all the time, only for motions.
During Ultra animations I’m also a fan of going absolutely bananas with inputs, just to make a lot of noise.
So you really press kicks that much during the move? I think that would put me off. I mean rekka I understand, it’s multiple motions (I actually strum facing right as it’s my bad side), but the CW is one move?
Who am I to doubt though… lol
I notice when he hits the Fierce after CW @ 1.45 he hits light then Fierce then 3 x p. I didn’t think you could get away with that…
Edit; My bad, he hits light during the animation, not at the frame.
lol I just started playing him seriously like 2 days ago!
Lol yes. I do a quick double-tap normally. During laggier conditions, it’s a 1, 2, 3 using middle, index, middle. If I’m mad at the game or suffering from really bad lag, 4 of those kicks will be pressed, the last one likely for fun.
Street Fighter IV Tips Video ? 5min.com – 00:52
It’s been in use since the old SF2 days AFAIK. Don’t sound so judgmental
He’s a nice break from Fei. Sit back and chuck some fireballs. Plus I love the FADC f-hk into Ultra - maybe since we don’t have that luxury! Check out that guy though, he’s a top player.
lol, It’s actually quite interesting. Fei is definitely not a “1 shoe fits all” character. I’d bet every single one of us has a different method. I had a habit of missing the 3rd rekka only from the bnb facing right. I watched some Asia replay channel video’s and 1 guy was doing full 360’s! Which surprisingly works really well…:wgrin:
So if i understand frame data correctly,sagat gets +frames after his lk tiger knee(which is -10) because he hits with the last active frames.But why dosent bisons lk Scissor Kick ever get frame advanrage even if its max distance?
It’s because you can hit at different points of the vertical height of the TK when it hits, which due to its slow speed means a good difference of advantage/disadvantage (which is why a crouch blocked TK is much safer, because it’s hitting way later), whilst Bison’s lk Scissor Kick comes out and hits, does its hitstun and then recovers very quickly regardless of how late you hit them, it doesn’t really make a difference to the frame dis/advantages.
That’s how I worked it out in my mind anyways.
Still, this is now looking like the Sagat Q&A thread (minus the retardeded amount of bitching that seems to go on in there between Sagat players)
