Fei Long Moveset/Attributes

yep first 10 frames of the move are invincible

also just noticed someone updated the hk cw frames, thats cool

Some normals I never use:

  • j.HP and j.LP (only use j.HK, j.MK, j.MP, j.LK)
  • F+s.HK (only sometimes as a taunt after the first round)
  • cr.HK (Okizeme doesn’t seem to be Fei’s strongest point, so I never sweep)

Could you give me concrete examples in which situations and against which characters these normals are useful (meaning the best option)?

j.HP comes out faster than j.HK and has better priorities overall making it more effective in air confrontation.
cr.HK is not really good since it has the same range as cr.MK and slow recovery. I use it quite often in some matchups though (C.Viper).
fwd HK is crap. Haven’t found any good use so far. Slow startup, highly focusable

Congrats John, a move I have been using on (opponents)wakeup is standing cl.mp, b aware of certain characters wakeup game is a tad stronger (Ryu/Ken/Akuma/Fei) if they don’t want to uppercut or burn meter you can take the advantage and if you can do the cl.mp hit confirm rekka is some free damage.

  Lk CW on throwing happy opponents since they totally whiff, and LK on wakeup again watch on certain characters for hit confirm bnb. (Star Nab comes to mind he is very good at this)

after tech’d throws i’ll do fwd HK and it hits some people. i haven’t toyed with it much more than that.

Just watched the new trailer for FeiLong’s second ultra. It looks as cool as his original one I have to say, and I hope it’ll be alot more useful and practical.
The first hit, it looks like a command grab or something. It’ll be freaking cool if it is a super Tenshin.
But do we really want the last punch? Doesn’t FeiLong wants to get close to his opponent, not the other way round?

His new ultra looks awesome yea, I’m not sure if its a throw or it comes out of the air, video moves quickly. It looks like a slow knockdown though you could probably dash in way before they could wake up.

And for what it’s worth i fkin CALLED one inch punch amongst my friends as his next ultra lol.

yea, bgf, if you’re not familiar, that’s called the one inch punch. classic bruce lee move.

I thought his 2nd ultra might have that as well :slight_smile:

Just watched the livestream. Fei Long’s new ultra is a counter. You have to intercept an attack with it. I don’t know if it will work with an air attack they used viper’s standing forward.

I think it can. it looks like it SUCKS them into the animation. I just wonder what the REAL startup and counter window is.

yeah fei has good dodging moves if u use his flaming kicks you can go around a fire ball

Check out the Fei-Long section. The data shows proper spacing for Fei’s moves in terms of getting safe Rekkas, etc. Interestingly enough this was posted for Ryu players but not for us lol. It’ll also show you data for intercepting Ryu’s Fireballs.
