I wanted to bring some levity to the thread, i just recently decided i’d watch DSP complain about UMVC3. Its partially funny because, he’s terrible but infuriating cause he’s stupid. It makes me think of watching a chimp try to figure out a simple tool. Anyway just thought i’d throw up something for giggles. For you’re viewing pleasure… DSP attempting Nova’s training mode.
Edit: if you can stand it their are 3 parts to this…part 1 and 2 are more painful, but i thought i’d give DSP one moment of glory and show you a small measure of success.
All you Nova players looking for inspiration and some real technology being used, look no further in this 1hr epic battle between Combofiend and ChrisG!
I’m mainly a spencer player and by no right a good nova user. Just trying out the synergy between them both after watching Combofiend’s match with Chris G. Gotta say I’m loving it!
oh man the tech belongs to you ? so sorry i didn’t know! I saw combofiend performing it so i thought it was his tech. My bad dude. I’ll add a notation to the video and description crediting you
Even ComboFiend credited FlyingVe on his twitter although he should also credit Danke for his contribution. You should do that as well Spenceredz. Then credit me for posting this. Lets share the love around here.
Lol FlyingVe, It annoyed me when I heard James Chen mentioning how Combofiend is a genius with all this nova tech he’s discovered, when anyone who plays Nova/Spencer knows who really were the pioneers! Though I have to say Combo is fucking raping with the team.
I know you don’t. Anyone who does care, is pretty stupid. Just because someone makes some tech doesn’t mean that someone else couldn’t figure it out themselves.
Even if they couldn’t, stealing tech is unavoidable and probably necessary in new age of FGs.
I mean, even without Youtube we were copying each others tech lol.
Basic Javelin Reset is just S>8A+S, it’s still pretty darned good. But do do the stronger crumple based ones you need spencer or you have to cut your damage really short, at which point you’ll need a lot of resets and it isn’t worth it.
But what makes the Spencer reset better? It looks like it both creates the same 50/50 setup and after 1 bnb into a reset into a bnb it basicly kills most/every character right?
It’s a force ground Tech vs Air Tech. Force Ground tech limits the opponents options much more as they are not airborne and can only tech forward or backwards (not Neutral).
Spencer reset also gives you time to set stuff up like, in my case Drones. I call them so that they are on top of the opponent when the Javelin causes the force tech so they just have to sit there and take my trijumps like a man.
