You guys may not know, but there was a Coach Steve vs Flux run back just now on the House of Chaos stream. It was suppose to be a normal FT10 for $50 and it escalated (thanks to Stream Monsters) to FT25 for $745. Steve won 11-25. When that is available, ima link you all to that. Steve had a nice bag of tricks.
Yeah I saw the whole thing, it was absurd. He really didnāt make it look like an even match for Nova but his blocks, footsies, and reactions were godlike (5Lāing pizza cutter on startup from like a whole character width away wtf).
That Spencer incoming has also gotta be the dumbest shit Iāve ever seen from that character. True 50/50 every time and Flux couldnāt roll the dice in his favor 9 out of 10 times lol
Heard about it after the fact unfortunately. Starting to think Coach Steve is worthy of at least top 3 Nova players these days. Always thought he was solid but now heās getting absurd.
That Spencer incoming isnāt AS BAD as it looks/Flux makes it seem. I guess itās because I play the character I know certain things. Idk. I gotta play Steve in a sit down to let yāall know. I havenāt played him in a little while now. But yeah I tell Steve all the timeā¦he is becoming a God.
Whatās really good regarding that Spencer incoming is thereās no way for Vergil to escape it. He canāt helmbreaker out of it because Spencerās too high unlike Novaās mixups.

Flux got out of it multiple times with Dimension Slash. Steve had the mixup timing perfect, so he was able to block it every time.
Unfortunately for Flux, he sucks. Shouldāve considered spending a bar to get Vergil in DT before Zero died instead of doing 99-second ragequits, or having Dante second.
I liked the meaty j.M + Plasma > zip df incoming a lot more tbh
Yeah I jacked that incoming from him. I used j.H + Plasma. Itās so good. Even I donāt know where to block at time. And thereās mad layers to it.

Well I thought a couple people were talking about the corner one he used, that was straight bodying Fluxās Vergil.
Even if it doesnāt cross up in the corner Iām sure itās very strong. Any meaty that leads to more mixups and is confirmable on hit is my best friend.
Those are pretty much the best types of setups vs Vergil. Something Nova I feel lacks. Good meaty setups! Unless you play lockdown.

Thereās a lot of stuff that Nova/Strange players donāt do that they should be doing.
Like, when Strange does backdash, Bolts, Spell of Vishanti to Human Rocket,
what they SHOULD do is backdash, Bolts, Rings of Raggador to Human Rocket.
This way if Bolts hit, they get a full combo from the Human Rocket and if it doesnāt youāre safe anyway.
i suck with almost the entire cast but i thoroughly enjoy labbing new teams with a point i can play! as such with using marvelos newer team ive learned that its damage and combo options are super consistent.

works from round start to corner does 820k solo and with a dhc to strange it does 986k.
theres a corner variant thats a bit stronger but its a little more awkwardā¦
