def Tager vs Tager
Tager v Tager. Come on they can command grab each other when the round starts.
Going to have to say Rachel. The pumpkin, frog, and poles tend to get crazy o.O
Ugh, I don’t really like Arakune mirrors. It seems that whoever tags their opponent with a curse first wins the round by a large margin–comebacks are difficult.
Good Jin mirrors are intense to watch and play as the beginning of the match is all about pacing and zoning the other Jin. You’ll see good examples of how to set up for 5C/5D and looking for various openings to get in the first combo. Once 1 Jin has the momentum you’ll see good pressure strings and the other Jin having to find a way to battle back and find an opening to counter. It’s a test of nerves and how much the players know Jin. From the perspective of people who don’t main Jin I don’t think they would find it all that interesting. I can’t say Jin is a flashy character to use so his combo’s and tactics aren’t dazzling as say Litchi’s mix up games or Arakune’s bug swarming but it can be intense when you understand what they are doing.
I don’t know if i have a fav mirror but my least fav is when i go up against another Noel. Even though I rarely see them on rank (i know all you guys have send hundreds but i’ve only fought a handful out 400 matches. Plus when you 30 and above, the comp gets better, so not as many spammers)
But it drives me crazy because when i do get a mirror match, it usually a spammer. I win 98% of the time because i know how to punish random D spams because I know how to play her but its still annoying to deal with.
I’m somewhat enjoy good mirror matches but not enough to say i fav it.
I actually prefer Noel v. Nu13 matches. Because it usually either really close, or an ass wooping on either side since Noel is trying to push in and Nu is trying to keep her out.
V-13 just because of her voice. It would be hilarious.
Rachel vs Rachel is silly. Me and a friend played that. Best 3 of 5, 4 time outs. O_O
Bang vs Bang is the best IMO.
This.
When two Hakumens play each other, it’s like a completely different game. It’s like watching ST,3S, or Samsho instead of a Guilty Gear-inspired game. Heavy emphasis on footsies, ticks, timed counters, and turtling (for better or worse. Hakumen gains meter by doing nothing), amongst other things. Very interesting.
Jin vs Jin, when I play some of my friends we end up saying all the time “Ice Car!” and “Ice Wall”, it’s always funny when we pull the move and say that.
i like arakune mirror matches because there are so many bugs you cant tell which ones is yours
Worse? It’s so much better! Not only can you command grab each other when the round starts, when both players are magnetized it is freaking silly match to watch. A Pot match is just boring to watch.
So, Tager vs. Tager match is full of awesome and manliness.
I somewhat have the same sentiment about Noel mirrors. In the uncommon instance that I run into good Noels, the matches are mad fun. However, when I fight against the army of D-Groove Noels, I hate the matchup.
Carl vs Carl is pretty fun as well. I want to get a chance to try Litchi mirror, since I’m learning her, but Litchi is rare to see online.
Also, although I don’t play Rachel, Rachel vs Rachel seems like it’d be pretty hectic, with both of them filling the screen with nonsense and blowing each other around with wind.
Carl mirrors getting no respect?
for shame.
My few rachel matches have been amusing mainly because the wind effects all projectiles (Sans pumpkins) and so when you fire your lobelias at them (The seed cannon) the other rachel can defend by blowing it at you, causing itt o land at your feet. Lots of dashing to dodge lightning, avoiding batpoles, lots of pressure games and lockdowns in closerange and mainly just a lot of flying around on accident due to the other person’s wind manipulation (Accidentally flew off the top of the screen by super jumping and getting douple silpheeded straight up… floated down like twenty seconds later.)
Bang vs Bang starts off kinda meh, but most Bangs will each get four of their Fu-Rin-Ka-Zan meters up, and transform… and then things get LULZY.
Tager vs Tager. So many fun shit that goes on.
Agreed. Plus, you have to watch out for his drive (counter) as well. It’s funny seeing two Hakumens air dashing towards eachother, only to see both of them throw out the air counter at the same time. :xeye:
Tager mirrors are gold.
I would say the first move of the match pretty much decides its outcome; who ever gets magnetized first is at a huge disadvantage. But once both Tagers are magnetized, that’s when shit gets ridiculous. I’ve never seen enormous grappler characters fly around before.
If it ever happens, Bang vs. Bang. Repeating the same voices + Bang install x 2 = BANGBANGBANGBANGBANGBANGBANG
It usually becomes a silly chase and one person ends up winning because the other is too busy plugging his ears to save his life.
ragna and ragna
