Agreed. Even the characer select BGM rocks for this game. Best stage BGM has to be Sagat’s. Too bad they won’t make another. :sad:

GGX2 #Reload, hands down. I can’t think of a single song I don’t like off of that soundtrack.

Street Fighter 2 would be a close second…no matter how you arrange or remix the character themes, they’re always a blast to listen to. The only thing that gives the #Reload OST an edge over SF2 is the fact that I’m a hard-rock kind of guy, and the GGX2 OST blends so well with the rest of Guilty Gear’s sheer craziness that it just amazes me. Guilty Gear X2 #reload is pretty much the video game I’ve always dreamed of making.

The GGX2/#Reload announcer is also the shit.

My favourite? It would have to be DBZ Budokai 3’s soundtrack, especially the intro theme. Best thing I’ve heard.
The SSF2T soundtrack comes close, followed by Gundam Wing: Endless Duel.

currently on a look out for melty blood react ost “promised dawn” on ebay right now. Even though it’s a little loud and jpop ish at times I think it’s great.

The more I listen to the CFE Soundtrack, the more I like it, but I’ll wait until I buy the OST to judge. Ingrid’s theme is one of my favorites of all time. And Remy’s theme is still my favorite theme ever!

Aside from that, what about Soundtracks based on Video Games?

  1. Guilty Gear XX the New York Vocal Album - I know I screwed uo the title, but the GG XX songs with lyrics sung in English I CAN ACTUALLY UNDERSTAND WITHOUT LOOKING UP THE LYRICS! This is MAXIMUM OWNAGE!

  2. Street Fighter Tribute Album - A good mix, Ryu’s song gets me all hyped up, even though it’s piss poor Engrish and good luck understanding it without looking up the written lyrics which leave out two lines… Still, the Ryu fanboy in me comes out with this track!

  3. Street Fighter Vocal Album - The best songs from the Animes all put together including Aska’s song sung at the end of the craptacular Live Action Movie, and this song is better than the entire Movie! Also Ryu and Chun-Li’s sung with lyrics in Japanese.

  4. Guilty Gear XX LA Vocal Edition - I like the NY one waaay better but this is not so far off. I still can’t understand what the Hell some of the songs are saying without looking up the written lyrics, but the Millia vs. Eddie song is BAD ASS!

I’m still waiting for my order of Street Fighter vs. Street Musicians to come in, but I hear it’s not as good as Tribute. Still want to give it a listen though.

GGXX, without a doubt. It’s got a lot of awesome songs that don’t serve as just background music. I also like the music in SF 2 Turbo.
