I personally would have got a mock laptop and shot it up to prove my point and put hers away after I erased everything, but he probably doesn’t care about losing the money he paid for it as I would. I think this will be how I parent, take all their shit when they fuck up instead of fucking them up with a belt or a fist.

Man, thats what I do. Just take my oldest daughters shit away. She also gets mega chores and other shit like not being able to watch tv or go to her friends. So far ive come up on a 24" lcd tv, a laptop, an xbox360, an ipod touch and a cell phone (I dont use the phone so I just hide that shit). We’re kinda poor around these parts so I dont bust that shit, I use it! muahahahahah!
Once i hit 16, my mom stopped buying stuff for me and got herself nice things, and when i was all D= she was like “lol get a job” so i did

I actually feel worse for her than the dad. I grew up an only child in a 6-figure income household (all earned by my dad; my mom’s a homemaker). I never had to do any chores other than help shovel the driveway in winter. My parents didn’t expect me to go out and get a job to pay for my own stuff until I was 17. And I didn’t do my own laundry until I was 21 (and that was voluntarily; I was tired of my laundry getting lost amongst other’s laundry). And nevermind a laptop: my parents bought me a computer optimized for gaming when I was 13. And a brand new, more up-to-date computer again when I was 16.
I probably lived a much easier life than she does right now.
