This matchup is so lopsided it’s ridiculous :bluu: I’d say 8-2 in Saber’s favor.
Has anyone seen the Shiro death glitch video on Nicovideo? Pretty fucking dumb imo.
I dunno why ppl are/where shitting on saber and her ability to go against projectile spam characters. I’ve seen some of the saber users do ridiculous things like activate>avalon on reaction to various fireballs. Even at one stock, it still hurts enough to have to pay attention to that threat.
I just saw it and it’s pretty funny. I have no idea how it actually works or how useful it really can be

On a more serious note, it IS the worst matchup in the game.
Also, it would help to actually LINK this glitch vid rather than just ask people if they’ve seen it. Something to think about…
Funny how the damage counter doesn’t go way up or anything it’s just that two hits randomly register for doing like half a bar each

This is a VERY significant threat. The Saber user here is doing this on reaction to projectiles and most of Caster’s pokes. When she activates it’s even worse than before, b/c then she can spam projectile supers when she sees you flinch, and her excalibur super has some tracking vs SS (STUPID). Then depending on the avalon counter she gets, she gets more combos (Stupid).
The only saving grace for caster in this matchup is 22C, and that is VERY limited in it’s use. You can’t even reliably wake her up with lightening sometimes if their reversal timing is on point.
I hate this matchup.
Yewp, I love activation > Avalon against projectile characters. It’s so easy to see a projectile and activate > avalon on reaction, then you get a combo after avalon for like 5k damage if you are left with no meter, more if you still have meter, it’s so sick.
EDIT: Not to count that Saber’s 236c sometimes goes through some projectiles~

This game is an interesting distraction while I wait for new games to come out. While Sakura doesn’t have awesome damage or anything I think she’s really fun to play.
Cool things I noticed in playing for a few hours yesterday,
While holding a pit you can transfer which button your holding alla aoko’s orbs. I think it only works for one pit though (which makes sense)
Pits take all attacks, my friend said he couldn’t keep chaining after hitting the pit, so they make really good shields plus they come out fast.
Unblockable is pretty easy to setup, but if the pit hits after the overhead I don’t think you can get a combo off… maybe you can RC or activate to pick them back up…
I haven’t tried this yet but after knockdown can you do tk low pit (transfer to B instead of C for holding the pit) double jump C release B for an unblockable?
Also what can I search for on Nico Vid to see more sakura match videos?
The same thing works for Gilgamesh’s chains. IIRC you can hold two pits/chains, but you can’t hold both on one button. Using pits as a shield? Don’t they cost meter to bring out?
yeah, but it doesn’t cost that much meter, plus while comboing into her super can add 1000 damage on, you can also just do repeated pit mixups with high low throw game… it seems like from the vids I’ve watched it just depends on your play style.
And most of the time doing a combo builds plenty of meter for a pitt, i’ve rarely hit them and not gotten enough meter to do pit combos and such from the actual combo.
Can you cross up with sakura C fireball? or do you just block sakura? I imagine its the later, cause otherwise that would be too funny.
