Fate/Unlimited Codes aka?

You can always try to shorten the combos first to make it easier to get into the game, then increase the hits when you get better.

<- Horribily butchered Gilgamash’s basic combo.

Every time I watch a match vid it’s like, I feel SO bad that I can’t do the combos those players do. :frowning: I still can’t do Sabers otg loop, or Archer’s loop where he switches weapons like 3-4 times per combo. <.>

They not that difficult to get used to, mang!

Also, why does the wiki have Jump Install? There’s nothing in the game like Jump Install. It’s just Jump Cancelling. Jump Installing would be the act of adding a jump into a later jump attempt through the use of a JCable move.

Because someone wasted their time making a “glossary” and begged someone else who has control of the wiki to put it on there

don’t worry hf… im still having trouble doing that as well with saber… i will feel emotionally happy after hitting that loop… in maybe 5 months

So whose combos actually changed based on weight classes? I’ve been playing Leysritt, Saber, and Assassin, and their combos seem to work the same for everyone from Rin to Zerker, unless I’m missing something.

The Saber OTG combo looks easy on paper but it is mad timing dependent for everything after the first j.c. Miss the timing on 623a and it either doesn’t come out or whiffs. Miss timing on the 236a’s and they hits too low (making second OTG impossible) or whiff. Miss timing on the 2c and it either doesn’t come out or doesn’t OTG. etc.

Was messing with saber today and trying for the jC>623a otg and that shit refused to execute [immediately] on my landing as I have seen in the vids. I tried timing it and it would always whiff. I tried strumming/mashing the the command (623AAAAA) an this would consistently result in landing and doing nothing. Then I thought about the golden rule of FUC combos: TK EVERYTHING.

After a few anger inducing minutes I tried jC>6238A and got the otg 623a on my first try. a few more minutes messing with the combo I got good results going for a tk command on landing. Now I /could/ be talking out my ass right now but it seems that theres some kind of landing recovery on the jC and jumping upon landing thus eliminates this. Of course I have no way to confirm this but it’s getting me results.

Lemme know what you other Saber users think.

damn Zar, I thought you knew about that already.

yeah, apparently there is landing recovery in this game and to get rid of it you tk a special…

I found out by looking at some bnbs in the jp fuc wiki

I think tking 623a was brought up like 15 or so pages ago, but whatever.

I’m pretty sure landing recovery exists, and I want to say it’s like the equivalent of melty blood where you want to whiff something coming down so you can do moves on the ground when you land. What the exact mechanism is though, I don’t know. But I can back you up on there being some kind of landing recovery, cuz it does feel like there’s something there.

There is landing recovery from j.c with saber. Tk’ing when you land gets rid of the landing recovery to make that loop possible

Also Has anyone found any bazette match videos anywhere?

Well, yeah, you have to TK it. You have to TK the 236a also. That’s not what I was talking about, though. The timing windows for all of those inputs aren’t exactly generous even when you’re TKing everything, and you need to nail the timing to get multiple reps.

Saber’s combos aren’t that difficult, but remember you have to be able to hit this shit pretty much 100% of the time - any less than that and you might as well go home.

Weight affects Rider’s Chain Loop and Storm Loop.
Try Rider’s chain loop without any delays on Saber, Gilgamesh, and Berserker:
646b 5b 5c 2c (1hit) 236aa 5c 2c 236aa

You’ll notice that Saber flies higher than Gilgamesh. You’ll need to delay the combo (or change it) to connect with Saber. You’ll notice the difference with Berserker before you hit the 236a. You’ll need to do 2b 5b 5c 2c instead for him.

Also you can test TK Landing recovery with Rider’s j.c > land > 623a and j.c > land > 6239a. You’ll notice a difference.

You can TK cancel from any move you can jump cancel, I believe. In activation, you can cancel your jump by pressing down. So if you do a move and jump cancel, and cancel the jump, it’s like a roman cancel (sorta).

Btw, 96.4% missions complete. So close…

I do have a stick, actually. I’m just too lazy to finish putting a new stick in it, is all. I should probably get on that soon…

You can do it!

so who’s the most basic, simple character to play as so I can get used to the game kinda?

Ummm…probably play a different game. This is execution fighter.

Nah, actually Shiro fits that bill pretty easily.

Danke.

Try Berserker. He’s basic/simple enough.

Saber is also pretty simple to get you used to the game and it’s tiger knees in combos. She only requires a few tiger knees here and there. Rin would be another choice, her combos are easy enough and she only requires a few tiger knees on -some- combos.

Shirou is the easiest character to pick up in F/UC imo

You can pretty much free style his bnbs (doesn’t need tk cancels), he deals good damage (can combo into unscaled super), easy but good mixups (command run strings), and HAS PROJECTILES.

KNEE!” -Shirou
