I coughed up a piece of chicken tender I ate 4 hours ago after reading this.

Speaking from experience sweet rice aka sticky rice is worse than white rice. Sweet rice can make you full fast and you get sleepy afterward.
I wasn’t necessarily saying I agreed with it. Some parts of the middle east marry women off at extremely young ages and this is definitely against what our culture believes. Parents make choices for their children in that culture and that is the norm, and individuality is quite foreign to those people. Is that wrong or is it just different? Do I think it is wrong just because of where I grew up? One thing I have struggled with since I made a trip to Africa, was drawing a line between helping/indoctrinating and right/wrong in the context of a people’s cultural norms.
Seeing how they reading on how they feed this kid reminded me of Foie gras in which they force feed a geese for it’s liver… That or I’m just hungry at the moment.
 It’s been while since SRK got a laugh out of me.
I was thinking about posting this article but didnt because i just knew it would turn into a racial discussion, lol.
I understand what you mean, but my line of thought goes in the direction of- If an act restricts the freedoms and personal choices of an individual and causes some kind of trauma as a result, it is unjust and unethical. Doesn’t matter if it’s based on religion, culture or jurisprudence.
I understand the need to respect cultures, but I can never take an objective route against cruelty.
