I’m sorry… but people are really asking for realism in this series? You really think Statham being in the right place at the right time is inconceivable and anything but standard for these films?
Let’s forget that you have to suspend disbelief to accept Vin launching himself across a gap by driving his car into the railing while standing on it to catch Michelle Rodriguez in mid air who is somehow launched in his improvised path. Let’s forget that in Fast Five, after they allegedly “split up,” Paul Walker drives up silently behind Vin unnoticed to shoot the Brazilian dude’s henchman when he somehow survives a car going through the windshield and climbs out to pull a gun on Vin. There are so many “coincidences” in these films and perfect encounters it shouldn’t be questioned.
im actually impressed at how much continuity they did for this film…like literally they dont have to go the extra mile at all. i actually appreciate that.
Nothing can beat Vin and The Rock duking it out through houses with concrete walls like it’s paper mache in Fast 5. I didn’t know these cats could channel the power of The Thing and The Hulk.
im telling you…fast and furious is just a giant set up for tekken. the rock and vin are clearly king and iron king. all these illegal activites weren’t actually run by shaw…but the mishima corporation…now lei will hire rock and vin to infiltrate an underground tournament…
Seriously… my friend and I saw him prepping for it and couldn’t stop laughing. And every time they jump from some moving vehicle and land perfectly on something that will break their fall… which happens like 10 times in the movie, but especially in the first chase. Shit was funny as fuck.
I didnt say i was looking for realism. I just said I thought it was a stupid plot direction. I’m allowed to think things sound stupid. It’s not even like i argued the point.
