Here is the thing about this whole situation with Joker. 5000 is a lot for a money match relatively speaking. Joker doesn’t have to do any traveling, no accommodations or anything. Could all of you literally come up with 5000 for the money match, a passport, flight, and a hotel room in 3 weeks? That shit would be so difficult. Of course Joker looks like the winner because he is the one that called out Fanatiq and gave him this money match. If Joker really wanted the money match, he would fly his ass down to Southern Cali and money match Fanatiq. Shit, they could do it on CrossCounter for all anyone cares. It was a safe thing for Joker to call out Fanatiq and try and get him to come up to Canada because Joker knew it would be difficult for Fanatiq to raise that money quickly.
Joker can’t come to the US.

I gotta say, Fanatiq is one real ass motha’fuckah. No way would I be willing to put up 5k or more, hell 100$ in a non-team locked MM. That shit is a risky double edged sword. No hate on Joker, tho, his Mags is in the 10th dimension! But if it was team locked, he shoulda said it at the start. Idk if it’s his lack of experience with major MMs, but when this type of cash is involved, shit gets real professional. You can’t be making rules on the fly, like Floyd Maywether. If I was Fanatiq, I would not have taken him seriously anymore, either. This man has fought for more than 5k and lost, before, so I really don’t think Fanatiq is afraid to lose.

Anyways im not gona be unreasonable or pop off or anything but gota defend my boy. From the jump, day 1 the intent for this is to be team locked. Took a while for the response vid is cus people wanted to make sure there was a good amount of money on jokers side didn’t want to issue a $300 challenge or some low amount.
I mean look at the description for the response video it asks for it to be team locked its not a new request. Jokers been to Evo 2 or 3 times but like it says in the video description right now he cant leave Canada for legal reasons. People don’t read anymore.

I think both players are crazy skilled, but I have to say, if I’m Fanatiq, I’m not listening to any of Joker’s boys or the one who even put the response up on youtube. With this type of money involved, the only guy I want to hear from is Joker, himself. I think Joker also knows this, that’s why he didn’t refer the team lock like it’s old news, in there facebook convo and failed to mention that himself in the actual video.
That’s reasonable. To be honest, I don’t really get why the character lock is such a big deal since the whole point of the match was to prove who has the better Magneto/Sentinel.
Maybe it’s because there’s tons of footage out there of Fanatiq’s team whereas hardly anything on Joker giving him an unfair advantage.
I think a character lock on JUST Mag/Sent would be fair though. So that way Joker could switch to Doom if he wanted and Fanatiq could switch to whoever he wanted (Spencer?)

Really? Where at any point in time was it stated you need to have a character lock or team lock? In MvC2 in high stakes money match, team/characters were switched freely and no such things as character locks were done. And the main thing about this MM was to see who has the best Magneto, and now it’s like ‘No needs Mag/Sent’ ‘No needs low tier character’ first time you guys ever do a high stakes money match?
