yo, good shit to everyone over the weekend. SBO 3s was pretty epic! drama and all! congrats to pyro/ken i/kai. Massive shoutout to amir/emphy/5star for putting up an epic battle of mass proportions! I wish I could have stuck around for 3s and ST on sunday, but the drive back to AZ is a killer. I didn’t do as well as I wanted in 3s SBO. I was suprised I was able to take out Emphy in our first round match. But then amir cleans it up and my team. Then 2nd game, emphy just murdered us all =/
And wtf, ST was ran on that last cabinet? If so, that was weak! Those sticks were so chewed up, i struggled moving my cursor left and right on the select screen. That’s a real shame that it didnt get no love with the tournament cabinets cuz i thought those worked nice.
I gotta admit, especially after this weekend(granted i been to ffa a few times in the past), I come to the realization that split cabinets are fucking weak! It is WAY too much of a chore to figure out rotation or even guessing the correct side to wait on, for the shortest wait. It’s so weak when you are on the cabinet that has a guy runnign a streak. You give up waiting then walk over to the other side, to find out now that side is winning, and you just lost your place in rotation and have to wait longer. I dunno how japan can possibly deal with that headache. after sbo was done, I exclusively only played on the 2 tourney setups since they were next to eachother instead of back to back. It’s just so much easier to deal with, while there is still space/privacy. maybe ffa will wisen up and eventually put cabs side by side to make it easier for people waiting to play.
