Had a lot of fun on New Years. A few big names were here: Marn, J. Wong, and Hugo101 to name a few.
Ralph was planning on making it, but he got really sick, so we didn’t have all of the prizes that he wanted to bring. So, we’re going to delay the raffle a little bit (about a week). We’ll be giving away tickets throughout the week, and then we’ll post the winning numbers when time’s up. Sorry about the confusion ^_^;
Oh yeah, and don’t forget to stop by Saturday January 8th for our first Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition Tournament! I don’t have all the exact details yet (there’s some things that need to be ironed out with the MvC2 guys who are running a tournament here on the same day), but I’ll post when the event will start asap (I’d guess around 3pm).
Nathan, “Saturday December 8th”.
Think you mean January.
I don’t think that’s what he means.
Vids that were recorded from last night are going to be uploaded through here:
Going to try and upload all of them by this coming week stay tuned~
I think there are two arcades that have AE in the LA area for $0.50 or less now. Is FFA still $1.00?
*Never mind, I misread one of the thread titles in this section. Only Vid94 has it for $0.25.
Where besides vid 94?
Yes it is still $1.00
When I was in Hawaii last year Vanilla was $1.50 per play be happy with what you have! :lovin:
Actually, that was exactly what he meant.
What was the point of posting something so useless?
Quick question, why is there a 10 win limit now? sorry but for a buck i think ill just stick to playing at home.
The reason being for the win limit to be at 10 is for the Raffle Tickets. The Raffle is still going on until this Saturday, Janurary 8th.
5 wins = 1 Raffle Ticket
10 wins = 3 Raffle Ticket(Max Streak Limit)
Remember to get your wins and your tickets(During the morning and noon shift ONLY).
P.S.
One of the Prizes is Xbox 360!
so, is there gonna be an AE tourney tomorrow?
Yes, AE tournament tomorrow.
The event will start at 7PM. It will be double elimination, and all that jazz. (Sorry, I’ve been scrambling even to set up this time, I haven’t been able to post many details)
We are still awarding tickets for the raffle, and we’ll be announcing the winners on Saturday (So if you have your tickets bring them in then). Everybody who enters the MvC2 or SSF4AE tournaments will get 1 raffle ticket. We will be awarding more tickets for other reasons, as well.
There will also be the best fighting game ever made, playable at this event! Street Fighter: The Movie: The Game! So bring your TM skills to the table!
Oh yeah, and we also got King of Fighters XIII set up in one of our Delta32 cabinets (those badass black HD cabs). So if you’re a KoF head, come on down!
coo how much is entry?
It depends on certain factors I haven’t been able to work out with the owner. Because it’s arcade, you have to pay to play in it, but I’m working on how much that is going to be.
It’ll probably be $7 to enter (all to the pot), plus quarters to play per game. Depending on how much it is to play per game I’ll adjust the price of the entry.
Pot split will be 75%/25% (for <10 players), 70/20/10 (for <42 players), 65/20/10/5 (for more).
2/3 rounds per match.
2/3 matches per game.
No characters are banned.
Winner of the previous match must keep same character, but can switch his Ultra.
Loser of previous match may change his character.
Double blind character selection available on request.
If you come with a friend, let me know so I can try and split you up. Based on how people win or lose, I cannot guarantee that you won’t play each other later, but I can at least prevent you from playing each other in the first game.
P.S. We’re having some problems with our KoFXIII machine. Taito X2 boards are notorious for failing. We’ll be getting it up and running asap. Also, it’s not on the Delta32 cabinets like I thought it was. It’s on that big screen in the middle of the arcade that was used for console SSF4.
I’d recommend putting this in the Touranments and Events forum.
KOF… I’ll start making some phone calls.
