NV is better and it’s not even close.
so should i even bother playing fallout3?
My big gripe with NV is the bugs. I got tired of bullshit occurring, and I’ve been off of it until they fix everything. Had fun while I was playing it, though.
I guess my vote goes to FO3, since I preferred the game balance (I like being stupid-strong), and it was only really buggy instead of a fucking ridiculously buggy mess.
I would say your character was more “refined” in NV than FO3, where you were a walking demigod. Having something be a threat within the game at endgame is nice to have. I did like the factions, since they do effect how you would go through the main quest line. One thing I did miss though, is that FO3 had more unique guns that were rather goofy and OP in a fun way. Who didn’t love to shoot 8 nukes at once? I didn’t get anything too buggy within NV except my companion getting stuck or the Euclid C-Finder not firing correctly (there’s a fix on the fallout wiki though).

Fallout 3 in Fallout New Vegas
^ Unfortunately buggy as shit atm, but still a cool step, should be awesome when it’s finished.
Sorry for teh necro, just figured I’d say that Honest Hearts DLC out today. Seems to be pretty cool, a lot closer to “The Pitt” style than the Mothership/OpAnch style of dead money ( which imo was a cool idea executed poorly… not a bad mod, just lots of small gripes ). That is to say, more exploration, more non-combat stuff.
replying to an old quote, but:
I think part of that is because the two games are mechanically very similar. Whereas Fo3 when it first came out was relatively new, NV was essentially a refinement of pretty much every aspect of 3, from a mechanics standpoint. Debatable from a setting/atmosphere standpoint, both have things I really like and really don’t like about them.
How is Honest hearts?
is the pc version of this game still broke as hell? i wanna play so bad but it kept crashing even after it was patched so i gave up
