Is anyone else getting this error when trying to play with friends?
I cant seem to join my friend at all no matter what we do. We made lobbys and private matches but everytime we try to join each other it simply gives us the FAILED TO JOIN SESSION error or something along the lines of that. Is there anyway to fix this???
I’m having this problem as well. I was really hoping they would fix this from vanilla.

Do 360 games have to have certain ports open???
Do a network test on your 360, if it shows NAT as strict, you need to google that stuff down.
It’s certainly not a guarantee, but about half the time I’ve fixed this by simply having both parties reboot. Sometimes wait 5+ min between attempts, and don’t send a challenge until both players are into the XBL menu. Again, this isn’t high level IT stuff, but it HAS resolved the issue for me on several occasions. And sometimes it just fails endlessly 
Same issue here fighting my brother. I blame DSL.
You know what bothers me more though? Searching for a match, hitting “B” to cancel, and then it tells me it’s “Finishing Search” for the next 30 seconds. WTF IS THAT?!
