Damn I’m conflicted about his design. Love the hat, the shades, the sleeves… even like his trollish intro, but the stretched proportions of his body, especially his head throw me off. His playstyle has me intrigued though.
Nec was probably the best new entry if they played better with his ingame proportions, and as gameplay made him a straight up savage atzec/maori/whatever berseker instead give him that bullshit supasayan thing and keep him lame during the normal (cooler, if you aren’t a 12 yo kid) version
Rashid is kinda weak but it’s what happen when you let teh marketing in and design something that is’nt a true chara design but a commercial attempt, with targets like gain a regional fanbase, not offend and shit like that.
Moveset is nice, it suck we will never see what capcom will have done as chara design/concept if was’nt a shitty marketing project
Laura is like Rashid but i love boobs.
Also she fit kinda well SF, her design just lack some visual distinctive feature that make her stand out as specific char instead generic hot girl. Crazy haircut kinda help but is’nt enough, specially for a new char.
Both Juri and C.Viper managed to be actual SF design better, and specially Juri is’nt that far from Laura as design
Fang is good.
Unique body build (first super tall-lanky dude in SF), animations, tricks, personality, color.
Some good stereotypes in, fun in a old school way, with creepy voice and some comic touches like self proclaiming he’s the n.2 and then in the shadaloo stage he got dat douchebag grin statue-portrait where is the most far from Bison… like, maybe the n.2 is Vega, maybe is Rog (who look to be with Illuminati in SFV), but sure as fuck is not that douchebag.
I can only immagine how Claw see him, lol 
He fit well with the Rufus, Birdie, Dan, Hakan, ElF etc of SF world, who got problem with that can fuck himself and go search waifus in some (more) anime game

They pulled a reverse Rufus … lol … I did not see that coming …so Street Fighter actually has a true Ectomorph Fighter now …
If Necalli isn’t the last boss … I wouldn’t be suprised if this guy is … if they give him some sort of transformation , that changes him from a goofball into some kind of fearsome monster for the last boss fight …
I’m kind of suspicious he is revealed last … and they want to play up his goofiness to maybe catch you off guard somehow.
Definitely like him, long face and all. Rashid is still my favourite newcomer, but Laura and F.A.N.G aren’t bad either.

To everyone saying that he looks strange and weird (in a negative way) and to everyone who is saying that he feels out of place and doesn’t belong to a Street Fighter game:
There have always been “strange” and unique characters in the history of Street Fighter, like for example Seth, Twelve or Necro. Or for example Skullomania, Shadowgeist or Garuda from Street Fighter EX.
Even Blanka and Dhalsim are “weird” in some way, but they are definitely a part of Street Fighter. I wonder if someone who was playing Street Fighter 1 back then saw Blanka and Dhalsim and thought: “What are those guys? They don’t belong in this game. That isn’t Street Fighter anymore.”
But we don’t consider those character being out of place, we got used to them. And the same will happen with FANG too.

Could be wrong about that but would be dope if the dlc led up to 3s and ended right after gill. Not really excited bout the plot but it means characters and more characters.

As many have said, Laura seems to fit more naturally in the whole universe of the franchise. I don’t give a f* if she has bewbs neither I care if she’s Sean’s sister (I never liked Sean in the first place). She’s a true martial artist and has a ‘simple but cool’ design that fits naturally among the others. Actually the most AMAZING characters from SF share exactly the SAME idea they used for Laura.

Yes, back in SF2 we had two of them. But read carefully… they were exceptions. Now they seem to be a tendency in the series or something?
I want MORE sfish characters like Laura, being them men or women. And just very, very few ugly freak joke characters. This should be Street Fighter, not Darkstalkers.
His design is on point. Really love his outfit, including those long ass sleeves lol. His fighting style is wacky but with some type of Chinese martial art style like snake or crane mixed in. Love those two hit normals and those slippery special moves he has. He inflicts fucking poison on his opponents. Easily my favorite of the newcomers so far.

Take this as a grain of salt rumor but definitely base on his storyline and physics that he could Q could be linked easily, I like the design and the concept. His design looks like generic asassin villains from old kung fu movies thats a thumbs up to me but not his super move. Congrats Capcom!!!
Not my boss type but simply good as a boss to be beaten then forgoten like mr big and some other mad gear bosses from Final fight or just a filler bosses that are the word that is self-proclaimed the same as seth was either think he was the ruler while this one thinks he is the second in command makes him like the KOF bosses from 99-2002/nest saga that is Badass and Annoying but not something you’ll love then can be easily replace in the future series expansion unlike Gill, M Bison, Rugal and Geese that are so connected to almost every individual in the game.
If that’s the case, then why is Abel, another strike-grappler who represents a style unheard of in Street Fighter, considered a throwaway character by many? Yes, Laura does have lightning effects and ties to Sean; is that really enough to make her THAT much better than Abel though? Unless you have another factor I’m not considering, she’s so much more popular mainly because of tits.
Now let’s look at the “joke/freak/stupid” characters of SFV. Birdie, Dhalsim, and FANG all have elements that set them far apart form the typical street fighter. I don’t really consider Necalli or Nash to be “freaky”, so they’re left out of this. Between the 3 I’ve mentioned, that’s 3/16 of the roster; less than 25%. You mention SF2, but the duo of Dhalsim/Blanka compromises 25% of the WW cast. So, realistically, the original release of SF2 had more of a “freak” problem than SFV.
