This is a good sheet, but you may want to break it down by opp character. IE: many setups dont work at all on laura/r .mika, etc, and so you may want to make that clear on your sheet.

still a work in progress and i need help from everyone thx for the suggestitions i will test the setups on all characters and specify the issues
can u tell me what i have to fix for now?

Against laura, necalli, vega, r mika and anyone else with fast forward moving specials (cammy too), u cant do any specials after a lunge punch combo or u will get fucked. So its almost all footsies and u should end combos with lk ground poison thing (if it will connect and u want a setup).
IE we should make a list of opp chars (i started one in the prev paragr) where we need a plan b playstylr that takes into account how rasily punishable all of fangs move are to forward moving specials/normals.
I’ve main’d only fang and have invested all my sf hours into getting better with him. I almost quit after losing so many matches. It hurt my ego because I was so good in sf4 with blanka.
The internal reward and feeling of victory you get when you win online with fang is indescribable.

ah ok after lp sotoja right?cause i tested mk dash > st lp still works against reversal stlp mash of mika i get counter hit so…
but yeah i can’t do hp after ex too slow and the armor of ex shooting peach eats it but ex sotoja in the corner gets messed out too
ok thx i will fix the file when i add a per-character section i still have no exp so
and its not that viable as there is a few OSs that auto punish it.
One thing I did not know that Im sure you guide people know, you can cancel his teleports into each other which can make for some risky but useful mixups.
You can also cancel coward crouch into poison ball. Semi interesting to use during zoning i.e. The other night I planted a trap as they chucked an ex hado. Traps eats one hit, I coward the other then resume my Nishikyu shenanigans
And the teleport/slide into crouch. Actually, if you do crossup slide into crouch, FANG doesn’t face the opponent. Not sure if that’s useful for anything.
Exactly: smart players can grab you out of the dash animation. Your best bet is to block, then do a safe combo to crate some space. like lp-lk-lt bomb or go for the counterhit
could be a couple of things:
you are doing it too late. It can only be activated during block stun
you could be accidentally plinking the input making only 2 buttons come out on the first frame.
Doubt the second one because I use a fight stick that has a button that represents all three punch buttons.
Could be the first reason though. They should have went with a different input for v reversal. It’s too similar to ex lunge. Even if you’re not late I would image the game cues your last input which stupidly happens to be the same as another move.
Might it not be better to release the joystick from back cover into neutral to make sure you are not doing a back, forward ex lunge ?
It’s been discussed before but on block all of the traps are hella unsafe. Ending a block string with lk trap is somewhat safer but still at risk of being punished.
If anything trying to end with a max distance medium into MK trap is nominal. The trap plants instead of hitting them, catching normals and allowing you to continue your offense. Like everything he has there’s a gap before the trap plants, so it comes down to how your opponent plays and how you’ve conditioned them.
If they tend to jump you can have lp ball in play. Or aa accordingly.
Suck is an understatement because as you said I didn’t use his whole toolset. I mix up zoning with some slight rushing down and It’s helped me tremendously. I’m glad he got such a good reception from the FGC.
I think in general the way you play FANG depends if the character has 3f jab/reversal. For instance, vs Karin it’s probably preferrable to mix between zoning and then landing a poke/combo into MP lunge. MP Lunge enables you to switch between a j.mk/j.hk depending what they do and only specifically loses to backtech reversal. Meaning if you can get Karin with a poke into MP lunge, unless she has meter you can get in on her and start your frametrap/grab game for free generally.
Or at least that’s what I think, someone feel free to correct me. vs people with no 3f jab/real reversal they have to deal with all the mixups off of your sotoja enders, and that’s where FANG’s real strength will shine I believe.
