What critics? You haven’t written a single word about why or how the character is bad for the game. So far you have brought nothing of substance to the conversation about FANG. What don’t you like about him?

Ok you have a point (see… i accept opinion and critics). I will answer immediately, in just 2 minutes (or also less).

1. First of all the name. Seriously there is already an other character so much more better then this and with a similar name too. “Fei long/Fang” name is too similar to this “popular character based on a famous martial art actor” not this clown.
   2)His design and costume looks terrible,his skinny look,these long and ridicolouse sleeves,he is too fragile. Really a finger of sagat can break him. He seem made for entertain kids ,this belong to a circus or a comedy videogame.
   3)This guy replaced Sagat as "second in command"ah ahah this is the joke of the century, this fangalan doesnt have not even 1% of the design, charisma and personality of Sagat.

1. It’s an allusion to his poison effects and “snake-y” fighting style
2. So because he’s a man who isn’t ripped, he’s frail? You don’t have to be a [link] brick [link] shit [link] house to be a legit fighter you know
   3)The personality of “I’m the best. Oh wait, I lost; I should devote my whole life to defeating this one man instead of accepting the inevitable loss” is a fairly overused martial arts trope. Sagat’s popularity comes from being a badass human mountain. He has no wit, subtlety, or value to his words.

Honestly, you just sound mad that you didn’t get Sagat at launch or in Season 1. Don’t worry, he’ll very likely make it into Season 2 once they figure out what they want to do with him.

Well, I’ll admit I’m not remotely knowledgeable about MMA. I just looked up some fighters that fit the lanky build and went with it. That looks… painful.
Now I’m picturing FANG’s arm snapping in half when they block a cr.MP.

You are referring to his V-skill projectile, but I don’t see a reason why the poison itself cannot K.O. Otherwise just stand back and get zoned, cuz FANG can’t actually kill you.

His tools are more trap and pressure than pure keep away. His v trigger being a close range buff means he doesn’t want you full screen in an optimal situation for him

Well obviously not. The poison mechanic is meant to create a situation where you NEED to get close to him or you will die. His V-trigger is likely his response to you when you manage to get to close.

I’m not sure I agree. That doesn’t strike as a defensive V-trigger. I think it’s meant for activation when you are in control of the game after knockdown or when they are in the corner.

Knockdown -> poison ball -> vtrigger -> offense

You are referring to his V-skill projectile, but I don’t see a reason why the poison itself cannot K.O. Otherwise just stand back and get zoned, cuz FANG can’t actually kill you.

All the V-Skill does though is apply the poison from what I can tell. So in chip death range on knockdown for example he can meaty you with the V-Skill and you’re KO’d the moment you wakeup, which is exactly why capcom removed chip KO’s.

I don’t expect that the poison damage will KO. Doesn’t jive with the reason for the chip damage changes. Pretty sure the only way you will ever get a KO in this game is either from direct damage or CA chip.
