I was just wondering if it is possible to extend the length of a JL-S9F Shaft by a 1/4 inch via an attachment (adapter, etc) or procedure? Essentially, I’m looking to adjust/increase the shaft for the stick on my stand without cutting into the wood. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Note currently using the Sanwa adapter for the bat top
I just mounted a Sanwa JLF inside my anneversary edition stick. Unfortunately due to the thickness of the top, the ball sits uncomfortably low. I would prefer not to use a nut as suggested since it is uncomfortable and looks wack.
Does anyone know of any replacement for the JL-S9F that is slightly longer?
My other idea is to just drop a ball bearing or something into the ball top so it can’t screw down all of the way but will still tighten well. Although if any threads are showing that might be as annoying as the nut.
Best bet is to find a local metal working shop, one that does industrial designs, but also custom for individuals. They should be able to take a Rod of metal, thread the bottom with the same specs as the top of the JLF, and then reproduce the same that’ll screw into the balltop.
