my gaming addiction was really solidified by the final fantasy series, loved all the games when growing up, especially got into FFX with the sphere grid and being able to rearrange it.<br><br>my first game online was d2 back in highschool. Before that game everything was console or offline, anyways i wanted to make a sorceress and so i wanted to use the name lulu from FFX (lulu was my favorite character in the game) but seeing as how i first picked up D2 months after launch lulu was already long taken as was hella other variations of the name… i added high because well… i was high at the time, and it works so well now because i’m almost always high while gaming…<br><br>that being said i always feel silly registering for tournaments as highlulu… doesn’t help that tons of peeps on the internet see that name and assume i’m a girl because of lulu being in the name. so i gotta figure out a new handle for that, sometimes i’ll enter as high but i just am not feeling that either.<br>

Nope, the only reason I even explained what my name meant a while back and now is because I don’t want my name to be referenced to the hedgehog when it has nothing to do with it.<div><br></div><div>I’ve been transitioning from “Sonicabid” to “Abid” for a while now. Sadly, “Abid” was already taken on SRK and PSN when I tried to make accounts. My single player campaign names are always “Abid” and in certain games that allow multiple users with the same name, I go with Abid as well. I agree with this… only because I remember Zoolander at Evo 2k7… Dude was all “I main Sagat in ST” and took half an hour to do a Tiger Uppercut on stick… smh. We were all in the room cheering him on. Shit was fun. <br>But he’s come a long way and can now kick my ass in Super Turbo. Good job, short man.<br>

I watched anime in high school 10+ years ago. One I saw was called Serial Experiments Lain, which was some allegory about the relationship our physical selves relate to our identity. The villain in it, wiredgod, represented the philosophy that our physical selves were dispensable to our mental selves. During my senior year I developed neurological problems that resembled a mild form of epilepsy and made me feel weirdly disconnected from my body. Hence the name wiredgod, the triumph of the mental over the physical.

Back when I played Quake3 Arena and Unreal Tournament 2003-04 I went by the handle Vash XI, because I liked the anime Trigun. The “XI” because I was born on the 11th, plus there was a million people named Vash.<br><br>My computer wasn’t so great back then, and I would get fatal errors all day. Every time I joined my clans IRC channel, everyone would say “sup FatalError”, and it stuck. I kept the “XI” from my old name. It also fits how I play fighting games. I start off doing well, then I’ll do something stupid that cost me the game.<br>
