Execution tips for short, short xx SA III

I’ve been working on this for the past few days and I’m getting better at it on the 1P side but still struggle on 2P side. I typically try to buffer the super after the first short hits and hit the kicks after the second short but sometimes I’ll do it and I get a standing short after the 2nd cr. short. Any tips on what I’m doing wrong?

I use cr.short cr.short (motion) (K if it hit), so try different ways because you might find another one easier.

Either way try doing it reaaaaly really slow. Like there’s no way a super could come out slowly, and make sure you’re hitting all your points properly. Then do that maybe 50 times or whatevs, then go a little faster and a littler faster until the super comes out.

cr.lk, qcf+cr.lk, qcf+K

c.LK, c.LK + SA3

Inputs in detail: (Hold Down)D+LK, LK, DF, F, D, DF, F + LK/MK/HK
There is nothing advanced or difficult in this combo. It’s all about practice.

Can you c.forward to srk? K good.

I had a lot of trouble learning this but a good friend taught me how it should be done and I had it down in literally 15 minutes.

When you do shortshort. You want to tap those buttons hella fast and then do the motion for super. The feel/speed of the shortshort should feel like your pianoing your index to your middle finger. After you get that speed down try doing it with your thumb. *taptap. Then do the motion.

When you tap it twice like that at a good speed it leaves a good window for inputs. That’s really the reason why I asked if you can c.forward to srk. Get the feel of that newly discovered window for input and get down shortshort srk.

Once you get that srk down replace it with SA of choice. This hit confirm will considerably up your game.

Listen to this guy

if u tap short short fast, both shorts should come out on their own, while that happens it leaves u a rather large window to do the super motion.

its not like in sf4 where u have to time each jab/short to make sure they link together, just tap short twice somewhat fast and it should come out on its own

i think the easiest way to do it is like so:

d+lk, df, f, d+lk, df+lk

yes, this uses a shortcut so you don’t have to go to forward the second time. start out doing this motion slow and make SURE that the 2nd c.lk is with d and not df otherwise the super will come out on accident

You can also piano the last kick like this LK,MK,HK to ensure that the combo will come out.

remember the second qcf doesn’t need to end on forward.
d, df, f, d, df + K.

just practice. eventually the timing and motion will be second nature and you’ll wonder how you ever had difficulty.
in general when doing more technical stuff, start slow and work on being precise. speed comes with time as the motions become second nature.
there’s really no trick, just getting used to the way the game feels.
