No, it was actually against Urien and it was the weirdest shit online. I’d knock him down, I’m at the maximum range I can powebomb and not get thrown but almost every time I did it his throw on wakeup would beat it… I was trying to figure out shit against Urien and I beat him evenly whenever he didn’t use Urien. But the timing to parry shit is too weird online, reminds me of P Groove in CVS 2.
Dude, do the power bomb with jab~+short. Instant OS ACTION
That’s why I need you as a mentor.
agree with the “stop bitching about online” sentiment. no one is saying it’s better than offline. but providing tips on making online play better does make sense if online is (1) the most likely or easiest entry point for new people, and (2) the only reasonable way for most people to physically play the game.
lol nevermind hahahaha
cha0sphere is a really good player as I’ve seen from playing him on 3soe
he beat me in the first match with his online akuma and then started ducking me, bragged about his 25 win streak on ggpo without even saying who he did it against and then he sat the next time we got matched. sent him a msg telling him to back out, he finally readied up long after I got bored and went afk. beat up on me while I was in the other room and sent me “Sorry, I can’t hear you over my double perfect. You had you’re chance and blew it, now fuck off newfag. Blocked.”
rofl good games
did someone mention cha0sphere
I wonder if there will be random tatsus and a lot of air fireballs and the shittiest connection you’ve ever witnessed
oh and a mic
sometimes there will be a mic
I saw him on ggpo today (he’s actually still on now) I didn’t know he was a UK player but yeah thats why his connect sucks
holy smokes EatableTech is good
if I had any notions of being even decent at this game he dispelled those real quick
yeah EatableTech is pretty good lmfao I wonder why??? :3
ggs to everyone I played tonight
Alaska has horrible internet and I’ve got two roommates, which can spell disaster for online play sometimes. I try to time my play sessions for night when they aren’t awake but sometimes that doesn’t work out. If I ever start lagging the fuck out and then quit the match chances are really good that my roommates surprised me with some sudden Youtube watchin.
(or porn, who knows)
oh so I figured out who EatableTech is
cool stuff
well if I’m gonna get the shit knocked out of me might as well be by him!

Losing is a basic part of getting better at 3rd Strike so if that fact alone bends you out of shape then stop playing right now. Tbh it’s not the losing that irritates me it’s the Jungle Strike winning that gets to me. Considering the hard work I’ve done (and still do) to rid myself of those types of habits I get disheartened when I see a certain portion of the larger 3s community getting wins that way, feeling good about it and not knowing any better.
Also, LOL at all you guys speaking of ‘bads’. Even many of the ‘goods’ in North America have been proven bad when competing at SBO for example.
The jungle is deep.
Dunno if anybody was proven bad. Competing in a different country, jet-lagged and in single elim is probably really tough. =\
SBO in general is really tough to win, even amongst the Japanese. KO has almost always been the favorite to win for many years, and he still hasn’t won. In fact, he’s only made it to Grand Finals twice before getting his team OCVed. SBO records in general is pretty random: Boss only won once, Nuki only won once, Spellmaster J won twice, Team Osaka won SBO’07, Rikimaru’s only won once(and he didn’t play a single game the year he won)…
The only things that seems to make sense are that MOV won three SBOs for his team, and pretty much every good player I mentioned(Nuki, Boss, KO and Rikimaru) make it up to Top 4 almost every year.
Do they have some kind of ranking in their mind over there for who the best 3s players are? Like a top 5 Japanese players or something like that? Seems like we’ve got a fairly good idea who the top 10 or so American players are.
probably those 5 players in the last sentence aku named plus kuroda
