Im learning KoF13SE and i look up videos about ExKyo HD combos. I cant get the rekka to come out after the Heavy DP, what comes out is his (x2 QCF DM). i tried delaying it and different motion (HCF and DP even TK motion) for the rekka and still the same.
There are a couple of universal shortcuts for this. In HD, you can input 6236A~B. This will cancel an A dp move into a B qcf. For Kyo’s C dp into C rekka, all you have to do is 6236 and hold C, and Kyo will automatically cancel the first hit of the DP into rekka. When you aren’t in HD, you have to do 632146A 236B, again substitute for the buttons of your moves.
When you input DP+C DO NOT PRESS FORWARD.
Immediately go down after you’ve input the DP+C (Try to make sure you’re doing a perfect DP motion. (623+C and then go for 236+C).
Otherwise, you can take @sadv advice and utilize the button hold trick (see Juicebox tutorial).
I’ve uploaded some videos not to long ago containing the inputs (you might have to leer a little a bit but look on the left side of video as EX Kyo conducts the combo:
J2C and qcfA are going to play very important roles for the EX Kyo player (EX Kyo’s j2C is not quite as good as the regular Kyo’s but it is still a very good air normal to utilize when you are starting offensive pressure or converting into combos).
Make sure you understand how the neutral game works in KOFXIII. Kyo’s qcf+A should be used in moderation (by itself) as a poking tool (rekkas in this game in general are unsafe but EX Kyo’s qcf+A… the first rekka will render him safe at certain spaces). With EX Kyo you have quite a lot of defensive options for dealing with multiple situations. EX hcb+K is a relatively good reversal to utilize as well but try not to get too careless with that move either - ensure that the opponent is going to be reckless enough for you to make a good read. Keep in mind that EX Kyo builds meter very easily and that many of special moves can be a be safer depending on how you time and space them (i.e. rdp+K, qcf+A, etc). Always make sure you’re making good use of your normal moves from up close. Standing B can be used as a good hit confirm tool because it hits low and it chains into itself from up close. You can cancel into his rekka’s from there.
If you’re starting an HD combo, it is best to either start off from j2C, cr.Bx3/st.Bx3 (hit confirms), or df+D (the only reason you’ll ever really use df+D is for confirming to HD when you get a full drive meter). You can use st.C, f+B from up close and/or after you hit the opponent successfully with j2C (unlike the regular Kyo, st.C, f+B will actually combo).
I am currently working on the EX Kyo DC wiki with the other members there. Use this as a reference. http://dreamcancel.com/wiki/index.php/NESTS_Kyo_(XIII).
This video will provide you with better on how to play EX Kyo accordingly.
