If I do cr. HK on ryu in the corner and do ducking straight should I be able to do ex duck straights after that? I can’t seem to get it. I can do cr. HK into ex duck straight x3 sometimes 4. After regular ducking straight though it just doesn’t connect. BTW this is my first time on shoryuken forums 
Yeah, you should. Make sure you work on getting the ducking straight out as fast as possible.

it’s C.HK > LK /MK HK duck straight > THEN EX Duck xx

You want them in the corner ASAP
If its a big / easy to juggle character go for MK/HK duck str8 > EX str8 > EX Upper (or HP jet upper/lp mgb)
I can confirm that st.HK xx EX Duck is completely safe on block and +4 on counter hit.
