Match 1 WINNERS BRACKET
Randy Lew (cable sent commando) vs Justin Wong [with darth vader theme song] (mag cable sent)
Randy gets early ahvb on wong, but loses half his sent. justin snapbacks commando, kills him, then infinites sent but fucks up. randys cable comes in and ahvbs wong but wong tempests randy. wong’s mag dies but his cable ahvbs randy’s sent to win the first game.
2nd game starts with wong looking for an opening. Justin quickly snapbacks cable out and nails commando. Randy bring cable back in and almost kills justins cable assist. randy loses his cable to a tempest combo. randy still has sent/comm, but is infinited and peaced out. OCV by wong for a 2-0 set.
Match 2 WINNERS BRACKET
Ricky Ortiz [hometown girl theme] vs Josh Wigfall [generic hiphop]
MSP vs MSP first match. Ricky snapbacks wig’s mag. Ricky is absolutely raping wig, (im assuming he raped psy), and Josh is now playing runaway storm. Ricky DHCs to hail, and runs away. wig’s storm is losing it. wig switches mag back in, but ricky stays in the air, coming down and nailing wig with a hail. All of wig’s characters are 1/3 health, with ricky chipping them to death. Wig takes out ricky’s storm, and fucks up ricky’s psylocke. ricky’s psylocke is still running away, building meter. Ricky brings in mag, but wig fucks up a combo on mag. ricky manages to land a combo on storm and psy before the round ends in time over. 1-0 ricky.
2nd match MSP v MSP again. They are turtling, waiting for an opening, careful not to rush. Ricky almost kills wig’s psy and then dhcs to hail, rushing down Wig with storm. Wig gets storm in, but is playing badly, missing many opportunities. Wig lands a lucky random hail, almost killing Ricky’s storm, but ricky comes back and takes out wig’s storm. Ricky guard breaks wig’s psy, and hailstorms to finish her off. Wig’s mag comes in and kills Ricky’s storm. Ricky’s psy with full health comes in and finishes off Wig with the help of Mag-A assist. 2-0 Ricky
Match 3 LOSERS BRACKET
Jason Kuan (Sent Storm Commando) vs Sooyoung “SooMighty” Chon (Mag Storm Sent)
Kuan starts off strong, holding his own with sent. Soo’s Mag is down to half health. Kuan’s capcom is getting beatdown, but with soo’s mag almost dead he dhcs to hail. Kuan’s storm is nailed with a ls xx la air combo. Both decide to runaway and build meter. Kuan’s storm is on half health. Soo is baited with a hail xx captain sword from kuan. Soo’s storm is almost dead, but so is kuan’s commando. soo brings in sent and takes out commando, and both kuan and soo dhc from sent to storm. Kuan’s storm goes down and his sent is dying, with 10 secs slowly counting down on the clock. Time over, soo mighty wins. 1-0 Soo
Game 2 and Kuan dashes back from Soo’s early Mag assault. Soo infinites kuan but fucks up, however still managing to snap in commando. Kuan dhcs out to storm but Soo hammers storm with a combo. Soo dhc’s his nearly dead mag out
