I think it’s funny that the entire EC team from the 5v5 qualified for top 8. Thorough in every burrough. If you’re wondering why I didn’t post up any other game results, I’m sorry, I don’t care.

Just threw up some results in the first post. CvS2 had conflicting reports. An alternate depiction of the top 8 showed:
winners: ricky ortiz, campbell “buktooth” tran, justin wong, mago
losers: peter “combofiend” rosas, john choi, ino, bas
Asked around on IRC, and no one knew anything about VF5. Post if you know whether Yosuke made it to the finals. Don’t have time to watch the cached feeds right now, I’m too tired. But I really wanna.
Assorted bits and pieces…
-Heard Chunk lost to Combofiend. Dunno who else he lost to.
-I was told Bill and Potter were in the same pool. Bill qualified for top 32 anyway, cause he’s that dude.
-Sanford beat Clock in winners and in losers, the second win getting him into the final 8.
-Justin beats Soo and Chris Schmidt 2-1.
-I think Eder beat Genghis, but I’m not too sure.
-Buktooth beat Combofiend in CvS2.
-Justin Wong beat Choi.
-Ricky beat Ino. In the first match Ino picked A Chang/Bison/Blanka. Pretty strange.
Can’t think of anything else, my eyes are glazed over.
Tried to sleep, but Marvel lured me out of it. Guess I’ll watch the cached feeds afterall. If anyone knows how Yosuke did, please post here. I’d also like to know who Preppy and Pablo lost to in MvC2. Even if it’s just some random mid tier players, I’d like to know. They’re NW players, so I care. Looking forward to Alex’s updates tomorrow.
Edit: Heard in the background of one of the feeds that SamB was in attendance. Could someone tell me how he did, and whom he lost to?
I’m pulling for Pablo in ST since he lost in MvC2 and CvS2(was hoping he would take it). Be dope as hell if his mexican play took him ALL DA WAY.
Just started watching the live feeds. They’re doing MvC2 money matches right now on the big screen, since the BYOC room was hella packed. Cable Guy just took Smoothviper 7-5 for $1000 or something like that. I hear Justin Wong is up next, as soon as the next live feed gets set up.

Yay on Yosuke. Boo on the SamY news. Here’s hoping that umbrellastyle keeps us informed in this thread once ST gets underway. I’ve haven’t been interested in old SFII since 1995 up until this July. But now, with Jmar and Row skipping EVO, I’m hella psyched for ST. Here’s hoping that Seattle puts 3 in the top 8.
Just watched the Duc Jr. perfect again. It’s funny how he had a window to do a single attack, but started flying with Storm.
