Really?
For Feis in top 32, I counted Evans, Mago, CJay Truth and DRRay.
Yuns were Kindevu, Daigo, Momochi, Xian and Hsien.
The fact that they kept WINNING and having more matches is a different issue.
You know, I wonder what would have happened if the second hit of the EX Fahujin from Game1 Round1 of Juicebox V. Tokido would have connected. I would have loved to see the third game.
Dude, Juicebox was my favorite going into the finals. Latif and Poongko were the only other fighters who remotely impressed me, and not even their play dazzled me as much as Juicebox’s. That quality of Juri is godlike. =O
Are people really saying there’s too many Viper players right now?
Who cares if there’s 2, MAYBE 3 in the finals? At least it takes insane skill to use Viper, so props to the Viper players, ESPECIALLY BrokenTierLatif! I hope he puts on a good show in the finals =D
evo2k11: yun/fei and wolvie/phoenix
Your logic fails. ONE part of my post caused you to call THE ENTIRE THING stupid. You didn’t even bother reading the rest. =/ The correct thing to say would be, “This is the second stupidest OPINION I have seen” Get it right. =/
To be fair, you really did assert it as a fact. It even made me go “…What?”
doesn’t change the fact that you post scrubby/stupid shit. please go back to gfaqs.
I mean but really if you look at it, the only characters that made it in outside of Yun and Fei were of the “Offensive guessing game stun you in a couple mixups” variety. Characters like that can do well because it comes down to mind versus mind. Yun and Fei however, have insane tools to deal with any situation. I guess it’s balanced in a way if you look at it like, Play crazy mixup character or Yun/Fei.
I’m going to make myself worth the trouble on these forums eventually. Until then, unless we have something to talk about, keep your petty hatred to yourself.
You’re right, I did, my bad. The story I originally heard was false, and Tokido testified to one of our forum Akumas what actually happened. I retract my “as fact” manner, and leave it as a correctly misproven theory.
-fistbump-
See what happens when we all chill, guys?
Yeah, I really need to learn to speak only when what I have to say is actual fact or when I need assistance. And my emotions do tend to get the better of me. It’s rather embarassing <_<
Speaking of which, I do have a question, about E Ryu and Oni, but it’s better reserved for the boards or a private message with a willing forum participant, but it would help me out a lot.
I mean, they aren’t really my mains, but I guess you could shoot it up here, and on the E.Ryu/Oni boards. Same with the PM.
So, are people finally eating their words when it comes to AE being broke? Cause they should.
I’ve always maintained that Yun and Fei are the most S-Tier in the game, but they’re not Vanilla Sagat levels of broken.
Also, I always hated how everyone’s first statement in defense of Vanilla Sagat is “WELL HE DIDN’T WIN ANY MAJORS, HUH!?”
Now I might be talking sh*t here because I’m no pro (so feel free to respectfully disagree), but it occurred to me that Fei, Yun and Viper all have dash punches (for lack of a better name) that can very quickly punish mistakes from distance - too fast I mean (quick start up, quick recovery).
And then of course all those characters have other strengths, but the dash punch, appears to be the one move they all have in common.
And those three characters dominated Evo.
In fact that 13 yr old kid CJ Truth (incredible respect to make top 32) appeared to be using that exact tactic of waiting it out, blocking and punishing with Fei’s Rekka Ken.
Poongko’s Seth is an anomaly IMO. He plays 14 hrs a day some days! Most people can’t do that. Although I thoroughly respect what Poongko has achieved and his decision to stick with Seth even after getting thrashed 10-0 by Infiltration’s Akuma. I’m not sure Seth is a logical choice for most people. Plus he admitted he has to take chances with DPs. Usually great reads, but not very safe. I think a few more tourneys and most of the top level players will figured out a strategy for his Seth. People are just not used to the match up (I mean a god-tier Seth!).
