I was tight last year…
I knew the MOTW tourney was happening but I didn’t know WHEN it was happening…
I’m entering this year and taking names.
But the plan was to steal the title and make all of the US SNK heads come to my home turf of Chile to challenge me for it :D!
That’s only because we did Round Robin with 7 people.
Also, the only reason I did RR with 7 people is because there was only 5 when we first started and 2 joined in later.
With Double Elimination, the game is pretty quick.
NGBC sounds fun.
Good, just make sure to find Nocturnal, Giby etc because I’m letting them run it for me!!

-Ryo is legal
-Macros are allowed since you cannot disable them.
KOFXI-
-Oswald’s df+a on incoming opponent is banned.
-Depending on the vote at EVO will determine if we allow the NGBC characters or not.
-Shion and Magaki are banned.
KOF NeoWave (PS2)
-Everyone is legal except Omega Rugal. (includes Angel and May Lee)
-Macros are allowed since you cannot disable them.
World Heroes Perfect
-Macros are allowed since you cannot disable them.
-Neo Dio is banned.
-Son Goku is LEGAL.
Garou MOTW
-Kain and Grant are legal. I will let Noc and Giby elaborate on the rest.
Real Bout Fatal Fury 2 (Ps2)
-Alfred is banned though hes available.
-Macros are allowed since you cannot disable them.
Samurai Showdown Tenka-
-EX Characters plus Kuroko are banned. Pets are ALLOWED, use at your own risk!!! 
KOF98/UM
-Dont know rules for 98UM just yet…but for 98 pretty standard, everyone is legal…even infinites are legal but they aint the easiest thing to do.

-Last boss is not allowed.
I think this is a cool idea, Its always nice to see small tournaments being organised as a lot of games out there dont always get the attention they deserve, good stuff.
why not contact evo staff and ask about promoting these smaller events properly so that these games can get more exposure, perhaps even advertising them on the evo website. I think a lot of people would be interested in taking part in these games. I also think evo promoting this kind of mini tournament would increse the player attendence overall and give everybody who attends evo the same enjoyment as the players who represent the bigger games get. Who knows, in time games like KOF might become as popular or even more popular than 3rd strike, i mean if you had said to anybody back in 2001 that 3rd strike would be the most popular game in 2007/8 everybody would have laughed at you, but here we are 7 years later and boy that game has done a 360 twice.
As long as these smaller events dont clash with anything offical at evo, i dont see why there can`t be more attention directed at these events. Perhaps even showing the grand final of one or two of these games on the big screen would go down a treat, Am sure that would be nice bonus to have on the dvd as well.

Things are shaping towards me doing my own stuff and just using this as another major…because next year there will be Two National Championships…
For the rules in Garou no changing TOP size and macros are not allowed.
Also everyone with 98UM coming out to PS2 on the 26th of June looks like EVO World will be the first Major to have it!
Also since we dont have access to rules right now etc it looks like every character may be playable!

In tourney, omega rugal is banned. I’ll call that rule or that tourney will be extra mindless. Seriously, if chars like O Rugal aren’t banned, imagine how stupid the mind games are gonna be, and the matches are gonna be crud.
Remember, that for these tournies to truly catch on, we gotta run them respectfully. If O Rugal isn’t banned and vids get out around the net, people will consider it a shit tourney. EVO is capcom, so we already have our bullshit cut out for us. Also, you don’t see O Rugal ever allowed in legit tourneys. For example, in 98 in china.
Nobody will come to respect a player that uses the last boss in legit play. Why play legit? So next year those FOB’s will give two shits and come rock us all with a random team. I’m not even kidding with this, I know this one guy at AI that never says a word that can rock the best motherfuckers around. THE ANSWER probably saw this guy play to, and hes good because he is so consistent.

why is snk vs capcom not included( by snk) ? I am not a fan, but some people I know play it online like crazy, and they are monster at it, hearing a tourney and the title of America best can attract them
So Geese, will these tournaments be online registration only like the main evo games? or will you have to register there, face to face, mono y mono?
