This year, the worse was the Tekken 6 top 8 and the 3rd Strike exhibition matches before top MVC3…so boring…
But what was bad was during MVC3 and SSFIVAE top 8 on Sunday, I got a really good seat at 10 AM and didnt leave it until 10 PM or whenever SSFIVAE got over. 12 hours of sitting is fine with me since I stand all day at my job lol. Anyways, I get a good seat, I really like aisle seats and this little oriental kid sits next to me, no big deal. Well, he is a stream monster I guess, he tells me he doesnt even play fighting games except for Smash Bros, and the entire time is screaming out internet memes, actually trying to cause fights with people over Poongko, jumping on some people, it was very annoying. I understand getting hype and shit, but this stream kid was really pissing a lot of people off.
But overall, even that wasn’t very bad, and EVO 2k11, was fucking amazing, and I look forward to being there next year again!

This is the first EVO I’ve been to. Besides playing some really good matches and meeting a bunch of people I’ve wanted to meet for years, nothing else really went well that weekend. I Had to pay $100 more than everyone else in the carpool in gas for a 10-12 hour drive, the people I went with kept forgetting the stick I was supposed to use at the place they were staying at so I ended up missing all of the events except for MvC3 where someone let me borrow his stick, I had a two-bed room at the Gold Coast and I couldn’t find anyone to stay with at the time (I later learned I could have went with another friend of mine and everything would have turned out much more smoothly), and I was sick pretty much the whole weekend, spending nearly thirty minutes vomiting my guts out at a truck stop on the way back.
Mind you, this is like nothing compared to the other stories in this thread.
War stories are always the best, especially if you don’t have permanent damage.
If I never smelled ICP guy, I would feel left out.
