Before the event started BEFORE THE CAPTAINS WENT IN TO GIVE THE FINAL LIST I found out that Jibbo was off the team and I told trent to kick off AlexJ(GoogleMyName) and Trent straight up told me the reason why he wont do it is because he would never forgive him and tells me to talk to Alex I go talk to him and he turns into a whiney bitch about how bad he wants to play and how hard hes worked for the FL scene…2 tournaments he ran…whatever it wasnt a surprise because hes been talking about it for over a month wanting to get on the big screen to become famous and shit to feed that ego he has for no reason

I really cant believe you guys (GoogleMyName and Trent) are gonna come here and post like you guys are all innocent and shit trying to make it seem like everything happened last minute and it was too late to fix it because both of you guys knew what had to be done and didnt do shit about it and this shit isnt speculation I was fucking there

Hopefully next time someone who can actually say no to his friends can be captain

Wow, so much hate. Show some love guys! Anyways, I finally had the balls to in here to say GG’s to everyone. The community is still growing, let’s figure out ways to work together instead of against each other.

I nearly cried after I lost, much thanks to everyone who yelled and supported the 5v5. Overall I had lots of fun. =]

A few points to make here:

  1. This was an exhibition, nothing more. It’s over, and nothing is different because it happened outside of the additional SRK dramaz that would have, no doubt, manifested themselves in some way anyways.

  2. Yes, there was shady shit going on with the SE team. For one thing, NOBODY from outside FL or PR was given a chance to prove themselves; it took Flash dropping to get anyone else a spot. Fortunately, none of it mattered anyways, as stated above.

  3. Jibbo, you’re my dude and everything, and it sucks that shit went down the way it did. But seriously dude, look at the facts. You haven’t won any tournaments yet. Every final you’ve been in you’ve lost to Cajunstrike or myself. To say you deserve to be on the team over me is somewhat puzzling, as the only reason I could see for it is because of your character. And, in all fairness, you did drop that combo to kill Hsien on stage. So just chill out, and prove yourself the way the rest of us do it…in tournament results.

I don’t wanna speak on too much of this, since I’m not Southeast, but I just have one thing to say about FL.

Florida always seems to think they’re way better in every game than they really are. Niggas haven’t traveled at all but just assume they should be guaranteed spots. Niggas actually had to Google Googlemyname, because nobody knew who the fuck he was. You guys have one player that travels and proves himself. That’s it… and I love how that is the player that wound up giving his spot up…

One other thing that caught my eye in this thread is this weird notion of “new” players coming up, not knowing shit, and having to dethrone OGs…

Um… these “new” guys that you’re talking about have been around for a second, and probably know plenty. It seems to me like a lot of these OGs just haven’t been playing since 99, and wanna relive their Alpha 3 days.

If you hadn’t heard of Jibbo until recently, you just haven’t been paying attention. It’s really that simple. Dude didn’t just get hot in SF4.

But that’s natural, because it seems like Florida is so far up their own ass all the time.

And if you guys want to really talk about tournament performance, and want to get a representative team without bringing in ringers, Alex Roski was a shoe-in for SE team, but niggas just don’t pay attention.

I gotta say Trent’s still funny though. Nigga knows how to go in on somebody… but I know Jibbo, and I’ve never seen him break a sweat, let alone throw a tantrum, so if he did… something fucked up had to have happened.

Whatever though. Shit is silly.

If FL v. NC does go down at FR (it won’t), I like NC, btw. Roski, Frank, Jibbo > FL

Flash, I’m with Sabre on this. You definitely deserve some mad props for what you did. I really think that the 5 on 5’s should be whos the best in your area, not who deserves it because they might have done something neat or whatever.

I do think the NW team was a bit last minute because there were some challenges that didn’t get to get finished. But, ya’ll from the PNW can flame me if you want, but I really think SamY and BBH should have had a spot on the 5 on 5

Also…After EVO I have discovered that I LOVE CRACK! Haha! :-p

Although my tone might sound otherwise, I don’t believe I ever stated that I “deserved” to be on that team over you – although I thoroughly believe I should have been considered to be on that team regardless of what character I play. Why? Because I’m a good player and also because I play a lesser known character well. The spot was given to me because I was known to be good, then taken away from me because somebody else was known to be good (on the spot). The other two spots on the other hand, nobody knew if they were good or not. Why them over me?

And if you want to talk tournament victories, it seems I’m the only person that can beat Alex anyway these days. On paper, he’s the best in NC but none of that even matters.

The more I think about it, the more it’s about the person in charge trying to get his peeps recognized on the big screen. I never cared for all that, I just wanted to play. The whole time I was pushing for Cajunstrike to be on the team, but no one was trying to hear all that.

It’s all politics. Fuck it.
